Gareth Barry - yes
Christian Eriksen - yes
Pepe Reina - no
Rio Ferdinand - yes
Angel Di Maria - yes
David Silva - yes*
Philippe Coutinho - yes*
Oscar - yes
Sergio Aguero - yes*
Rafael - yes

* depending on formation
Why do Coutinho and Silva depend on formation and not Eriksen?
Eriksen can play as a CM, countinho and silva are more suited as AMs or on the wings.

Gareth Barry - No. He'd be competing with Carrick and I think our man has the edge on Barry in most areas. I don't think he'd even be worth having as a squad player if Fletcher is back on the scene.

Christian Eriksen - Yes. Really like Eriksen and although I probably wouldn't take him over Kagawa, I think he could fit into our midfield. He's definitely better than Anderson, Cleverley or Giggs.

Pepe Reina - No. There aren't too many keepers I'd take ahead of de Gea. Reina is a solid enough keeper but is prone to making the odd schoolboy error. So is de Gea, but he's young and improving all the time.

Angel Di Maria - Yes. He's better than all of our wingers really. Nani in peak form is better but Di Maria's a more consistent performer and far more dangerous than Valencia and Young.

David Silva - No. He's a great player but I wouldn't put him in ahead of Kagawa who is just as nifty in the final third and provides a much bigger goal threat.

Philippe Coutinho - No. He's a talent for sure but I don't think he's the type of player we'd need out wide and he wouldn't play ahead of Kagawa in a central role.

Oscar - Maybe. I think we could possibly play him and Kagawa in the same side, but I'm not too sure if I'd pick him over Shinji. Close call though, Oscar's a serious player.

Sergio Aguero - Yes. He'd get into basically every side in the world.

I think so too. I should probably have both as a yes. But I think Eriksen would fit into the side better.

Ferdinand is such a Rolls-Royce player that it is unreal. Such a fucking luscious centre-back, £30M for the past 10 years has been such a great deal. His positioning/awareness is so good, his pace, despite detoriating, is far better than most CBs and still class on the ball. He's got another 2 seasons in him and I still think he's one of the best CBs in the world, top 3 for sure.

I think Oscar is more capable of playing deeper in midfield than Eriksen is. Oscar is more adaptable tactically and has stronger defensive awareness. Good tackler too.

Gareth Barry -...........he would be a fantastic backup but he wouldnt start for us
Christian Eriksen -.....He would start in AM if Coutinho if doesnt move to that position
Pepe Reina -.....Nah, good backup though :)
Rio Ferdinand -.....yea he would start, when fit he is still top notch. He would partner Agger
Angel Di Maria -........Yea he would start in in place of Downing
David Silva -............Same as above, we would fit him in somewhere anyway he is so good
Philippe Coutinho - YES ! YES ! YES !
Oscar -.......he would start in the attacking role of our midfield. Unlesss Coutinho moves there, he can be his backup in that case :D
Sergio Aguero -....of course he would start
Rafael -........nah
