Yup, only United and Arsenal are the two clubs in the PL that can sign 2 big summer players with FFP. Sadly we're not even looking into it and are stagnating.

Arsenal will sign 2 big summer players and one or two others as squad players.

We'll sign whoever we want every single summer and still comply with FFP regulations.

By big summer signings I mean "£40M+ without having to sell anyone".

City would have to sell to raise poss £10-£15M plus reduce the salary by £100K a week, which they can definitely do so you're not wrong in saying that but sales would have to be made.

So you're right but if it goes to two players worth £40M+ it's gonna be hella of a lot more difficult.

Just remember something very interesting Wenger said about the 'British Core'. Wenger said that he believed it would be easier to keep the British lads at the club than the likes of Hleb/Cesc/Nasri/RVP/etc. Will the British lads take less than market value wages to stay at Arsenal? United had that luxury with Scholes/Giggs/Neville/etc.

Probably, not to mention that you don't actually have any world class English players so they won't put up much of a fuss. But you'll only have to look at Rooney to see what happens when you have a high profile English player.

Walcott doesn't have the ability or 'aura' of a world class player but he's more productive than Ribery/Bale/etc over the last 5 years.

Yeah well this is the FFP thread so if you're gonna wank over Arsenal, wank over Wenger's foresight, his leadership and financial acumen. Seriously, I'd say 9/10 Arsenal fans don't deserve to celebrate any trophies won under Wenger considering how much shit they gave him. So fucking clueless financially and tactically, all they is results and not the future and not the shit he has had to sign/play with and not the clutch team he's developed them into.

Bonaparte-esque

Mert, Arsenal have £100M spend next year (ship out deadwood again so in reality, £80M net spend), what's gonna be reinforced and who's gonna sign?

Make me believe.

Balotelli/Suarez/El Shaarawy, Draxler/Reus, and Eliaquim Mangala. Vermaelen, Flamini, Rosicky shifted.

Terrifying thing for #MUFC rivals - in era of so-called "Financial Fair Play" - is that their projected income for 2013/14 is £420m+

Unreal club.

Fantastic numbers, just a shame it's Moyes who has the cash at his disposal and not SAF.

The glazers really have stepped up our commercial game. Debts nearly gone, and when that happens with income remaining at these levels our financial power will be immense.

Man Utd are full of winners ffs.

Not really anything to do with the Glazers, United would have been a commercial powerhouse without them. It's all down to Alex Ferguson and the success he brought.
