The chairman runs the club, owner owns it.

Pochettino is now the favourite for next manager to leave their post.

Would be a massive shame, Southampton have huge potential under Pochettino, if him and Cortese left it'd be a mess. Hope is that Cortese can find an even richer consortium and the club goes on as normal.

Cortese has resigned, official. A chairman leaving is never given as much attention as a manager leaving, but this could be as important as any sacking this season. Pochettino's future in massive doubt.

If Pochettino walks Southampton should go for Villas Boas.

Would be the best option for them, but he want to take over a club that has an owner who's trying to sell? He did say he didn't want another job in English football, although I'm sure he'd go back on his word if the right chance came along.

If I were running Southampton I'd go for Redknapp.

If the owner wants to sell... we should go for Clyne.

You probably already know this, but just to be clear I meant that the owner wants to sell the club, not the players.

I'd take Clyne but only if Sagna signs.

Don't lie, if you ran the club you'd appoint yourself.

You mean the man who was a flop at Southampton last time he was there and got them relegated?
