I shouldn't have neglected Reggie Blinker either.

Should have just played it safe and picked David May.
Never liked him, was always a bit indecisive.

What about him?
Great peak season.

Stevey Ireland really should have been in contention if peak seasons meant anything. One of the best seasons in PL history from a midfielder.

It really was a fantastic draft wasn't it? I loved making my team, would be so sick to get these sides together on a version of Pro Evo that recycled former players and play with them against each other, definitely something I'd have done when I was younger.

Following all the feedback, it'd be interesting to hear if anyone had any regrets about picking certain players at certain points. I'm not sure with mine: Ronaldo and Drogba were the two best picks I could've got from my position, but I still wonder whether I should've taken Mascherano or taken Pallister instead of Hyypia etc.

We also completely forgot about KOL lmao.

Yeah I remember thinking 'who the fuck are they?' for a good few of your picks lol, and that you had loads of strikers... Wish you hadn't nicked Tevez off me though.

I knew there was a team missing when I came to review them :cheek: Couldn't put my finger on who but as KOL says, he started pissing around anyway.

Ant summed it up well, could have got better players in my first few picks. I reckon if i picked Keane first i could have still got the same team which would have notched it up at least another 2 ratings. Picking Robben instead of Overmars was probably another bad decision but i was really hoping for some pacey, direct wingers on the side of their favoured foot. Wanted to get Kanchelskis on the other side but he got taken.

You could have had Keane and Cantona first two picks, followed by Overmars and maybe Drogba. Real scope for a draft winning side.

The only regret I have is not gambling on Wright and picking Neville instead. Doubt anybody would have a bad word to say about my side if I did.

On page 46, and I fucking love it when Rolling gets the bit between his teeth.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Scholes has an average and messy midfield, though him and Trig have nice attackers, both of them failed to gain a vote thanks to the presence of too many average players.
I'm sorry but my back 5 is unreal. There are no average players in the team either. Average players on this game are players like Ballack, Robben, Parlour, one game a month King, Hamman etc., three of which play in the same team I believe it was you (may not have been) wanked off not long ago.

As Rolling pointed out, Clancy's team is full of fucking luxury players, you can't chuck them all together and expect it to work. Di Canio is my only luxury player and he was a fucking wizard. My team wouldn't concede goals, and with RVN in the team, wouldn't fail to score them.

I balanced my selection of luxury players by picking the best/most balanced CM partnership and pretty defensive full backs.

That said, the Torres pick was fantastic. At his peak at Liverpool he was consistently destroying the best defences in Europe whilst being the best striker in the league during the Golden Age of PL football. 3 teams in the semis of the CL 06/07, 07/08, 08/09.
Clutching at straws????

Torres was really good in one and a half of those seasons, he wasn't even in the PL in 06/07.
