Fabio Capello was recently quoted as saying - “The three-man defence is the worst thing about football today. We’ve gone back 20 years. In reality, it is a five-man defence.” This got me thinking, what are your views on the apparent renaissance of the three man defence? What do you think are the positives and negatives of the system? |

Im actually for it and I believe over the next few years managers will try and invent themselves and come up with different formations and statergies much like when 4-2-3-1 became more fashionable than the traditional 4-4-2 and you can already see how many teams in Italy play with 3 at the back with the two wingbacks |
