Like Ant I am going to declare Manchester United as the 2012/2013 champions and well I have to hold my hands up and say that at the begining of the season I made the fatal mistake of somewhat under-estimating Man Utrd's power and I never imagined Van Persie would have so much influence I thought some games he would have an off day or be ineffective but to be honest even when he doesn't score he makes an impact or a difference in one way ro another. The title is on it's way to Old Trafford. I also want to say congratulations to Everton football club on finishing above Arsenal for the first time in many years and perhaps I should be congratulating them on finishing in the top 4 because certainly they have something very special about them this season they have started the season on fire and even when they play badly they are still getting results. Everton have been notoriously slow starters but after christmas have always been one of the best consistent teams in the Country so the signs are ominous for the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Newcastle. Perhaps on paper Arsenal have a slightly better looking team than Everton and of course unlike Everton we have a tradition of finishing in the top 4(16 seasons) however aside from that Everton are better than Arsenal in every aspect i.e top manager, fighting spirit, never say die attitute, better strikers, incredible home support, determination, focus, leadership etc etc. There are players at Arsenal who either want to leave, players who dont care whether we win or lose and players who are happy just to pick up their hugely inflated wages and overall everything at the club is in dire straits we are a club in decline a club with no ambition, no drive, no spirit, no heart, no soul, no leadership and we have morons absolute morons who still believe Arsene Wenger is the greatest thing since slice bread. Arsene Wenger wants to drag Arsenal so far down its knees so that one day when a new manager arrives his only ambition will be to get Arsenal back up the table and then when we go season after seaosn qithout CL qualification people will then look back at Wenger's time with deeper gratitute than most do now........very clever man. The people who love the club deeply are powerless to act or change the club's dire situation so just wait for the inevitable and watch the Titanic slowly sink deeper and deeper and deeper until eventually the ship sinks so deep it becomes unretrievable. A new era awaits for Everton football club. That is all I have to say for now. |

These posts are ridiculous, Manchester United have a strong team and are certainly title contenders, but to name them Champions at this point is beyond ludicrous. Manchester United are weak defensively, I don't know how these posts can pop up after a performance like the one I saw today, Aston Villa tore them apart numerous times and Manchester United WILL be dropping points sooner or later, once again Chelsea are dismissed even though they are a very strong team, as well as the current Champions, City, who despite playing badly at the start of the season in my opinion still find themselves within 5 points of United ( with a game in hand ). Everton won't finish above Arsenal. But you're right about one thing, Arsenal are shit and Wenger needs to go. |

Just to follow up on that, Chelsea, Man City, Everton, West Brom, Tottenham, Arsenal, West Ham, Newcastle, Stoke, Liverpool, Sunderland have all conceded fewer goals than United so far this season. You can't win a title without a defense, and right now they are putting A LOT of pressure on their striking force.
