Even clubs like Spurs with far less revenue can spend big money on players and you look at Atletico Madrid.....sell Torres buy Aguero, sell Aguero buy Falcao while Arsenal sell Van Persie and only buy Giroud the only true striker/CF at the club. The bottom like is Arsenal are penny pinchers and with the same people in control of the club the most we can hope for every season is to finish in the top 4 with no chance of silverware.

Stan Kroenke doesn’t buy sport franchises to collect them like CD’s or LP’s .He buys them to make money period. Kroenke is a product of American culture of greed and winning to him is making more money than the next billionaire. As long as Arsenal stock is rising and quarterly reports are in the green ,he is winning .

They have regularly bought players that are 15m and over and could you imagine Arsenal trying to splash 22m on Joao Moutinho?

Arsenal should be having players at the level of Higuain,Dzeko,Soldado.........but we can only dream of such players as instead we have to make do with Giroud and Park Ju Young.

I understand why they run the club like they do, but it's a very conservative approach for me. Being an extra 20-30m down in the transfer market each summer (either by buying an extra world class player, or not letting one go), could be the difference between us winning nothing over the last 7 years, and winning a load of trophies. The extra money made from winning those trophies, through prize money, merchandise etc. could have covered or even bettered that 20-30m each year. They've taken absolutely zero risks, except for risking our CL status by being such tight bastards.

Except an extra 20M guarantees absolutely nothing. We'd still be behind the likes of City/United/Chelsea in the market.

That 20m could bring in a striker like Huntelaar

What's your point? City and United would still have 3/4 strikers in their squads better than him. He's not top class.

Chelsea have proved you dont need 3-4 world class strikers to compete and to be honest at times it can be a hindrance

If Higuain was at Arsenal during the days when we created chances he would have scored a brick ton of goals for the club but again players like that will never grace our shirt

True words----

I'm sorry guys but i'm not looking forward to this match, i'm feeling like crap at the moment, not just 'cause the loses this season but 'cause the same thing is happening again, same s**t different year. Maybe it's too early to feel this way or what, but honestly, its getting to the point where i'm actually depressed when we lose now. I used to be upset after a lose but i would pick my head up and stay positive and looked forward to the next match, but i don't have that anymore, i tell myself "what's the point?" Its been happening for seven seasons now going on eight and it feels like i just lost all my energy all these years. As much as i love this club, as much as Arsenal is such a big part of me, i'm actually considering not watching football for a while, 'cause i cant take it anymore. Their is so much crap you can take over a long period of time before its starts hitting you really hard and i kind of feel like everything is now hitting me hard now, i just hate watching my club lose, Wenger has set the bar so high for us that we expect the club to deliver every year, but yet we've been failing every year, talk about profits and staying in the top four all you want, but their is a difference between being good and being great. Maybe in a couple of days or weeks i'll feel better, but for now this is how i feel and i just hope that we win something, anything this year, i still have a tiny bit of faith left.

Mark Hughes has yet to win an away game as QPR manager.

Which gives them all the more reason to win. You see, these days when a team needs points, they circle us on their calender, its not like before when players saw that they had to play us next and they would hate it, some teams were even scared of us, but now they love to play us. Honestly i don't know if i want to watch this match, i just don't want to continue to see my team lose yet again, that's what i'm afraid of.
