Quote from the GOONBOT

FA Cup final is the same day as the Copa Del Rey final. I hope I don't have to miss Arsenal.

Dag: Paul Scholes was shit in the Keane/Vieira era, he never got a kick of the ball

Lmao, his guesswork of PL football back then is a joke

I loved it, and hated it at the same time.

Was only on the pitch a could minutes and was as comfortable as a cucumber.

Winner.

We were so good then ffs.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Niall Quinn cracked me up the other day, he said "Dzeko pops up just when you require a cool head, literally."

I thought Liam Brady was intelligent until I read that quote. Right from the Goonie school of wording.

Haha was watching as Brady said that. He kind of butted in with that comment, a mangled version of a quote we've all heard. But I agree with what he was getting at before-hand, that as a new pundit on the scene he was sure to come out with a controversial comment in order to make a name for himself.

I thought it was an unnecessary comment from Scholes, obviously some types of players burn out quicker and have different peak years. Giggs wasn't too great in his peak years, and I remember Scholes himself having a dry period before he reinvented himself. So is Wayne Rooney past it, or does he just have to alter his game somewhat? Obviously it's not all on Scholes, but the way the media as a whole focus on Rooney is pathetic. Scholes should know better than to feed the media frenzy that he was so keen to avoid in his playing days.
