We can all accept that it is very early days and I truely hope within the next weeks and months he will come back strong and prove everybody wrong but the early signs are far from promising and to be frank there isn't anything in his game that even slightly convinces me. It's not as if he uses his strength or height to knock balls down and with the ball he looks extremely uncomfortable but most concerning for all fans is his erratic nature infront of goal.

Giroud has a thread in the Arsenal section. Use it.

I'm sure his performances will get better as the season goes on, it'd be hard not to, but he'll never be a Premier League star, not a good enough player.

:laughcry:

As for Giroud I expect him to score a decent amount of goals but he wont become an elite striker. He has good positional sense so he will score his fair share

I think Giroud will do alright in the end. I agree with Ant when he says he won't ever be one of the PL top players because he hasn't got the talent to do so. He literally just needs a bit of time to settle down, he looks nervous as fuck out there. He could end up doing what other not-so-special strikers like Gomez and Huntelaar have done for their clubs.

Giroud doesn't strike me as the type of player to score that many, even if he stops shitting himself.

Not those exact numbers but he could be a fairly reliable goalscorer only found out against really top defences. I think he can be a 25 goal-per-season man (all comps). That's good form in such a competitive league.

He'll score loads of us if Wenger persists with him through this initial poor form.
