![]() Harry Redknapp will meet with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy on Friday to discuss his future at White Hart Lane and those of several of his top players. The relationship between the two men is said to have been soured by Redknapp’s links to the England vacancy towards the end of last season and Tottenham’s subsequent slump that saw them lose out to rivals Arsenal in the fight for a Champions League place. Levy has not yet offered to extend Redknapp’s contract which runs out in 12 months time, and still needs to be convinced that the 65-year-old remains the best man to take the club forward. Fun in the sun? Harry Redknapp could be tempted by a move away from Tottenham and to Qatar Redknapp, meanwhile, has returned from holiday in Dubai seeking assurances that the Spurs board will back him in the transfer market this summer after he was linked with the Liverpool job. He has also been linked with a lucrative move to the Middle East with a consortium believes to be putting together a financial package to try and tempt Redknapp to a job in Qatar. The Spurs boss was sounded out by a club in the Middle East last year, and it is believed they have come back in for him as they feel they may now be able to lure him away from Spurs. Although Redknapp expects to complete the signing of Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen, he is determined to bring down the age of his squad. His scouts have been scouring the Dutch and Brazilian markets with another central midfielder and two strikers top of the list. Missing out: Redknapp suffered a double blow by missing out on Champions League football and being over looked for the England job in favour of Roy Hodgson He will also speak with Levy about the futures of Luka Modric and Gareth Bale when they meet on Friday. While Tottenham are believed to be ready to cash in on Modric, sources say they determined to hold onto Bale for another year |

Don't get me wrong, I don't like the guy. But unless there is a better option out there willing then it's stupid to let him leave now. If Liverpool got Rodgers then I'm not sure who we'd be able to get.

I hope he stays at Spurs for the foreseeable future. He's taken them as far as he can. |
