5. ![]() Couldn't have done it without you. Absolutely world class this season, inspirational goalkeeping displays in the CL lately, so commanding and just inspires confidence in the defence. No glaring mistakes, constantly relieving pressure and some wonderful saves to keep Chelsea alive. MONSTER. 4. ![]() Best full-back of my life-time. Phenomenal tonight, this bloke just never lets you down. What a fucking player, thoroughly deserved to complete the club set tonight. 3. ![]() You let your side down in Barcelona two weeks ago, but you have been nothing but an inspirational defender and leader over the course of the last decade. Best CB of my lifetime, absolute winner, who had he not won the greatest competition in club football, would have been tragic. Thoroughly deserved, you absolute legend. 2. ![]() If he hadn't already, tonight he established himself as the greatest big game/moment player in the history of football. His performances this season have hardly been great, in fact I'd go as far as saying his overall play is substandard. But when you're producing matchwinning moments in huge games like he has, you deserve every bit of a praise you receive. He is one of the biggest winners I have ever known, and what a bullet header when his side needed it most. DROGBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, absolutely surreal. He can be forgiven for his defensive clumsiness against both Barca and Bayern, absolute superstar, one of the greatest players of his generation. 1. ![]() ![]() ![]() I am most proud of this man, one of my biggest idols, Sir Frank Lampard. Schweinsteiger, Ribery, Robben et al....great footballers, but NONE of them are close to this man's stature in football. Like Drogba, well past his best now, but look at him dispatch that penalty emphatically like the absolute hero, winner, inspiration, GOD he is. Massive penalty, yet again put away by one of the biggest winners you will ever see. After losing his mum in 2008, and then a month later losing the CL final so cruelly in the Moscow rain, it brings me nothing but absolute joy to see this man celebrate tonight. Not a single player on the planet that hasn't already lifted the CL, deserved this trophy as much as you, yet again captaining Chelsea to victory. Sunday was heart-breaking, but seeing these heroes win the CL against all odds has lessened that pain considerably. There is after all poetic justice in football ![]() SUPER, SUPER FRANK, SUPER, SUPER FRANK, SUPER, SUPER FRANK, SUPER FRANKY LAMPARD! |

Great post mate, after I saw Cech I guessed your top four and in order. Spot on. Anyone who doesn't respect what these great men have given our childhoods isn't a real football fan. Take a bow boys. |

Last weekend if you told Scholes he had the choice of United winning the league or Lampard winning the CL, I'm quite sure he'd have picked the latter.

Bollocks. As for your comments Ant, it is only natural that such a wonderful night of football would raise my footballing spirits after the heartbreak of Sunday. It is also quite clear that I was a bigger Chelsea fan than you were a Bayern Munich fan tonight as your comments in the matchday thread have indicated. In fact, your presumptious posting that the game was finished at 1-0 when Didier Drogba was on the field of play, is quite FRANKly, disgraceful. Edited by Scholes, May 20 2012, 01:07 AM.

Nope, it's nice to see Ant's cockiness come back and bite him in the arse. Homer would have been absolutely disgraced as well. It's just a shame his overconfidence before Sunday's QPR game didn't come back to haunt him either. |

I'm a City fan mate, one and only club, piss poor to be enjoying another English club's success like this. I'd fucking slap a mate of mine if he supported City and cheered on Chelsea like this. |

There is no hatred between United and Chelsea; just two great clubs over the last 10 years that are rivals solely because of this. I'm not just a United fan, I am a football fan, and at the end of the day, it is no secret that Lampard and Terry in particular are big inspirations of mine and have been for a while. Enjoying their success is no crime. |

Pathetic post from Ant. I love how proud Scholes gets when his decisions to sit on the fence get vindicated. No authority. |

Me getting passionate with regards to Chelsea is no different to you getting passionate about Bayern Munich, Germany, Inter Milan in years gone by. Admittedly, if someone told me 10 years ago that I would be on my knees celebrating Chelsea winning the CL I'd have laughed in disbelief, but the lads did me proud tonight and I'm very happy for them. |
