His 'better' transfer window looks like leading Everton to another Europa League finish. If he's improved them so much why aren't they top 3?

Um because the top 3 are Liverpool, Man city and Chelsea, two of the most expensive squads in the world and a team that has had a season longer to rebuild than Everton have

Sounds like the exact same excuses Moyes was making when he was finishing 5th to be honest

David Moyes is a British-mentality manager, which I have seen a lot of. He was only tweaking and giving you a more advanced lesson on what you already knew. With the manager now, it is a totally new way of playing football. It opens your eyes to the fact football can be played in such a different way."

I loved the way David Moyes worked. He was the most thorough I have ever seen in preparing for anything. David Moyes was the first manager I had seen who was so hands-on, he took the majority of training every day.

"His standards were so high. I think my standards are high; if someone isn't pulling their weight in training then it annoys me. David Moyes would nail somebody for that and I liked it

So much effort and still shit.

David Moyes wasn't shit at Everton though, far from it. People are so quick to forget.

He wasn't shit but he's been very easily replaced and already improved on with what I thought was hardly an inspiring appointment.

Moyes has to be credited for putting the structure in place for Martinez to succeed. Plenty of good signings that have created this modern day side.

No one has said he doesn't deserve credit but Martinez created the modern day side not the Moyes signings. You have to credit him for getting the results he did get but since he's left everything has improved from the style of play to the points they've achieved and although not their PL best their position has improved on the last 4 seasons.

I think it's a bit premature to say Martinez has eclipsed Moyes in one season. Sure, he's changed things around and the players are enjoying themselves, but Everton might well finish 8th next season. Will everyone then say that he's undone Moyes' work?

I say give it a bit more time before judging him either way.

Martinez has been grinding results out all season.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Before the arsenal game they had been shit at home for a while, relying on late winners against average teams, todays result was overdue

Kenwright has said that Everton aim to keep Barry and Lukaku this summer.

Aim to keep Lukaku. Okay mate. They'll need to magic up about £20m for the Belgian giant. Something I can't quite see them doing.
