Wigan are such a joke, only start playing in April. Can't wait for them to be relegated.

On roberto, I'd like to see him at Liverpool even though I'm sure he'd flop. Pause.

Martinez pledges his future to Wigan. He will not be moving anywhere this summer.

Winner.

Martinez has said he's considering his future at Wigan and will come to a decision in the next 24 hours.

Aka, he's leaving.

Martinez tells Wigan: I want to leave

Roberto Martinez is set to leave Wigan Athletic after a meeting with club chairman Dave Whelan.

Whelan confirmed that Everton have asked for permission to speak to Martinez over the manager's job vacated by David Moyes.

Earlier this month the Latics won the FA Cup for the first time in their history, but a week later were relegated from the Premier League.

Whelan said: "He wanted permission to move so I've given that.

"He has 12 months left on his contract, so whoever comes in for him must pay the remainder of his contract.

"He feels he's not the man to lead us back into the Premier League. I've got to accept what he feels.

"He loves Wigan and the fans. We have to move on now and want applications for the job."

Dave Whelan has claimed that Wigan and Everton have agreed a compensation package that will allow Martinez to become the new Everton manager.
