Amazing season, was so so good in that false 9 role. One of the best footballing sides, so underrated that Roma team.

He was the first man to really play the False 9, he's revolutionised football in all honesty. Without Totti, there would be no Messi as the false 9 / Barca's current system. Quite a special season.

Roma legend Francesco Totti has hinted that he may retire at the end of the 2013/14 season.

The 36-year-old goalscorer had previously claimed that he wanted to go on playing until 2016.

But at a press conference to unveil the Giallorossi’s new kit, the veteran said: “I have worn many Roma jerseys, but this will be my last.”

That's more than a hint ffs :tremble: :tremble: :tremble:

Apparently he's planning to play for Italy at the World Cup and has already spoken to Prandelli about it. If he does play at the World Cup it makes sense for him to retire after. Long Serie A season followed by a World Cup and then no pre-season for 14/15 might be a bit much for him at this age.

No fucking way. He snubbed '08 and Lippi for '10 and '12 wasn't on the horizon either. Absolutely no chance he's coming back plus Italy are more than comfortable FW/CAM department. He's got more chance of playing for

Cesare Prandelli says he will not rule out recalling Francesco Totti to the Italy squad for the 2014 World Cup, provided that Italy qualifies and that the veteran he can remain fit.

The Roma forward already has 58 caps for his country, but his national team coach is open to the idea of a recall - even though the player officially retired from international duty in 2007.

"If we qualify for the World Cup then I’ll take a look at what shape he is in," Prandelli told reporters. "He is proving to be in exceptional physical condition."

"Prandelli's words pleased me a lot," Totti said. "I don't know, at the moment I'm doing fine. But from here until 2014, let's see. It could be that in a year I quit. Who knows? When Prandelli calls me up let's see."

Nah, no fucking chance, Italy don't need him and if he was called up, he wouldn't play and he rejected Lippi in 2010 when they needed him so there's no chance. I'd absolutely love for him to be called up but even if he is he won't appear in any of the matches. Love for Italia, a proper footballing nation, to smash in those Latin cunts.
