Getting deals done early, both in and out, so we have a settled and stable squaf going into the season, is worth more than the extra few million we've been holding out for. This appears to be something Wenger is incapable of comprehending though, and is why he needs to do one.

i think wenger has actually come to the conclusion that there is no bonus in keeping players that don't want to be there.

big losses both of them, but we are getting better deals for them than we would have done if we'd sold them at the beginning of the window?

if they both go, fine, but this whole summer has been a fuck up from start to finish
It is a shame that Wenger did not come to that conclusion a month or so ago because he's let this drag on all summer and it's damaged the club. Read my sig to get the official Crimson response.
Maybe because Barcelona were bidding 30m a month ago?
I'm pretty sure if Arsenal said 2 months ago you can have him right now if you pay X (whatever fee they've agreed on now), rather than constantly holding out for £40m, Barca would have signed him then.

So what's changed? They haven t raised it by much. Nasri should have been done and dusted due to is contract running down.

FA Cup final is the same day as the Copa Del Rey final. I hope I don't have to miss Arsenal.

Samir Nasri hits out at ‘disrespectful’ Arsenal fans following chants

The French midfielder, who has been linked with a move to Manchester City before the end of the summer transfer window, believes supporters were wrong to vent their anger

Samir Nasri has taken to Twitter to hit out at Arsenal fans who were taunting him during the weekend draw at Newcastle.

The Frenchman, who was not a part of the squad that travelled to St James' Park, has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City, and supporters expressed their anger about his potential transfer during the goalless draw.

Nasri said via Twitter: “I heard what the fans were singing about me on Saturday and it is really disrespectful because I'm still a [sic] Arsenal player.”

The midfielder's contract is due to expire at the end of this season and his reluctance to sign a new deal has seen him linked with moves all summer, with City apparently prepared to spend £20 million to take him to the Etihad Stadium.

    Actually very excited about his arrival now. Johnson ruins everything we do and to have a quality team player like Nasri in the side, linking up with Silva, Aguero etc will be brilliant, it'll be so fluent. He's not the perfect signing, he's not the man I've always wanted, but there's no denying he's a great player and he'll improve our side.

I think that 4-2-3-1 lineup you put up elsewhere is their strongest lineup

I'm doing a career as a Player Manager on Fifa for Arsenal, trying to get my hands on Esteban Granero at the moment after capturing Gary Cahill. The resurgence has begun.

Our strongest side, hmmm, I don't know actually, really don't know.

-------------------Hart
Richards--Komps--Lescott--Clichy
-------------de Jong--Yaya

Unsure about Lescott and Clichy. Kolarov is improving every game and looks a lot sharper, I want to give him a chance but Clichy is only there on merit as he's new and should be trying to impress. He's looked ok so far. Savic looks like a top player and he's really comfortable on the ball. Lescott is awful on the ball but he's doing well enough defensively to be starting unless he does something wrong.

It gets tough trying to pick the forwards. Yaya and Nige are certs for me, Nige sits all game and Yaya can burst forward if he wants to, nothing wrong with that. Yaya also likes to pick the ball up and spray a few passes too, he dictates play pretty well so I think he and Nige should be the two DMs.

-------Nasri----Silva
------Aguero--Dzeko

Nobody really plays 4222 but personally I'd love to see all these players on the pitch at the same time. Dzeko and Aguero upfront should be a cert on mine, I don't want Aguero playing as a lone striker, I know he could do it but he'll work so much better if he has players around him who can spot his runs and feed him. Dzeko, Aguero and Silva linked up so well that I think they should be starting, it worked extremely well.

What I think will happen though...

-------------------Hart
Richards--Komps--Lescott--Clichy
-------------de Jong--Barry
----------Nasri--Yaya--Silva
-----------------Aguero

Can't say I'll complain though :D
