City and Arsenal are moving closer to agreeing a deal for Samir Nasri, with City offering £15m plus millions in success-related add-ons over the next five years - but Arsenal are still hoping to get the entire £22m up front.

Most reports are suggesting Wenger has given up on Nasri and will sell him this summer.

Pay up the 22m and be grateful.

FA Cup final is the same day as the Copa Del Rey final. I hope I don't have to miss Arsenal.

Our tean to face Newcastle could be something like this:

Woj
Sagna Djourou Kos Traore
Song Ramsey
Gervinho Rosicky Shava
Chamakh

:laughcry: That team's pure relegation fodder that is, as shit as Newcastle are they'd dick on it.

Lol, that isn't a pretty team  Thing is, every time I write off Arsenal at the start of the season they seem to produce. I'm not sure if they've crossed the line this time, whether they have actually got so bad that it wouldn't be wrong to write them off. I still think they'll finish above Liverpool, no matter how tough things get.

Nah mate, this time I can confidently say we've crossed the line. We'll probably sneak past Udinese, but the start to our league campaign will be an absolute nightmare. We'll pick it up a little bit come late September and October, but then it will go to shit again and we'll be well out of the running for the league come the turn of the year, probably already in a position where 4th will be a massive uphill battle. Then at that point, with RVP injured, and Chamakh and Gervinho off to play in the ACN, we'll just cough and splutter along with minimal goals, so by the time they're all back it will be too late to make up the ground to get in the top four.

Sounds like you've got the whole season panned out.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

i think wenger has actually come to the conclusion that there is no bonus in keeping players that don't want to be there.

big losses both of them, but we are getting better deals for them than we would have done if we'd sold them at the beginning of the window?

if they both go, fine, but this whole summer has been a fuck up from start to finish

It is a shame that Wenger did not come to that conclusion a month or so ago because he's let this drag on all summer and it's damaged the club. Read my sig to get the official Crimson response.

Maybe because Barcelona were bidding 30m a month ago?
