Yea I heard 185k a week, I wouldnt be THAT surprised of it was tbh, with United and a few others looking at him aswell. City do need another creative type imo, he is over priced buy he would be a good signing

That article says 100k. We'll pass it with flying colours though. 40m a year for the stadium covers so many of our expenses.
Lmfao, it's not 40M for the stadium. It's 20M shirt sponsor and 10M (City pay 3M to the council to rent out the stadium so essentially 7M) for the stadium, and the other 10M is to with complexes surrounding the stadium.

"40m a year for the stadium"

My point is that you were under the wrong impression and it is up to a knowledgeable man, like myself, to educate you.

I'm fully aware of the terms of the agreement, but I'm still waiting to see what your original point was. Regardless of how you dress it up, it's still 40m per year that's covering all the expenses of crazy wages and lavish spending.

When it's 40M a year for the stadium AND shirt sponsor AND complexes surrounding the stadium. Got it?

If Wenger is not being a delusional old man and Cesc and Nasri really are staying, where do you think this team would finish?

Home team:

-----------------------Woj
Sagna--Cahill/Samba--Vermaelen--Gibbs
---------------Cesc------Wilshere
Gervinho--------------------------------Nasri
-----------------RVP---Walcott

Gervinho and Walcott interchangeable, RVP playing just off them.

Away

-------------------Woj
Sagna--Cahill/Samba--Verm--Gibbs
------------Song----Wilshere
------------------Cesc
Walcott/Gervinho--------------Nasri
-------------------RVP

If there's no signs of unrest shown I'd believe these teams can continue what we have been doing, keep up with the leaders until the final stages of the season and then fall away but still stay in the top four. This would for once truly be a success in my eyes, as i'm not getting my hopes up anymore about winning the league and am prepared to fully accept that moving forward finishing in the top four is a success for us, with City getting ever stronger, Liverpool looking resurgent, Villas-Boas being at Chelsea, and United being United.

even if nasri and cesc do stay, which i doubt, unless we sign another couple of players i dont see that we are significantly stronger than last year

on the face of it we look to be losing almunia, bendtner, denilson and we have already lost clichy

whilst these were not quality players, we need significantly better players as cover for what we have in the first team to replace them, plus the 2/3 players we have always needed to improve the squad

i still think we will fall short as we will have the same set up and same mentallity that has always cost us, i think if liverpool and spurs do put their money where their mouth is, we could have real fight to finsih 4th on our hands

We don't need to replace Almunia as we have loads of keepers better than him already.
We aren't replacing Clichy as Traore has come back and Gibbs is being trusted.
We've already replaced Bendtner with Gervinho.
Denilson isn't definitely leaving, and Frimpong will come into the squad anyway, and will be better, so it doesn't matter if he does leave. Ramsey will be ready to go from the start too remember.

Basically mate, we don't have to worry about replacing the trash you named as there's already replacements who can't possibly be any worse and will almost certainly do much better. If Cesc and Nasri stay then all we have to focus on at this point is getting a tough CB and maybe a top DM. If they go then of course we have to try and replace them with top players in their position as well.

No matter what happens, it's going to take a real good effort to finish in the top four, that's got to be accepted by everybody immediately. There's no possible way we can do anything to make ourselves favourites for the title, or even close to. And even if we find ourselves top in January we still have to have this mentality and accept reality.

I don't see how he'll fit in our team. As a winger? No. As a CM in a 442? That essentially means replacing Carrick, same too in a 451, which would be weird considering we've tied him down to a long-term contract. It's possible to play a Carrick-Giggs combo but that's the end of Fletcher & Anderson
