Nasri, 2010: "I think we have more merit as a club than those who have built their teams with millions of pounds."

If we go out to Udinese (likely), and get smashed to fuck by United (certainty) then I don't see how Wenger can still be in a job. He's just flat out lied to the fans time and time again for the entire summer, banging on about how Cesc and Nasri will stay and he'll add experience this time around etc. He's gone and done the complete opposite of this, and this time taken his deluded philosophy to even more extreme measures. We're racking up more youngsters than ever, more cards than ever, more injuries than ever, it's spiralled completely out of control. If he stays and nothing gets done about what's going on it really shows that the club is basically a dictatorship and the fans have no voice whatsoever. The only answer in the end will be for the fans to either boycott games or get violent. Nobody wants to see it come to that, but if the board and Wenger keep living in their own little dream world, completely detached whilst we sink like a stone, then it will happen.

Stop deluding yourself. There is no chance in hell Wenger would be sacked 4 games into the season, and there is not much chance of him leaving on his own accord either.

Next summer will probs see RvP leaving for Spain or Italy and Vermaelen going to City.

Arsenal strike Nasri deal with Man City
Arsenal have agreed terms with Manchester City over the sale of their midfielder Samir Nasri.
The London club confirmed on their official website that a deal has been struck between them and their Premier League rivals for the France international.

Nasri trained with the rest of the Gunners squad earlier on Tuesday, but will now not be travelling with them to Italy for Wednesday night's crucial second leg of their Champions League play-off against Udinese. England midfielder Jack Wilshere has also not travelled, missing training again owing to his ongoing ankle injury. Arsenal lead the tie 1-0.

According to the Arsenal statement: "The move will be subject to Nasri passing a medical and formal registration processes."

That medical is expected to take place in Manchester later on Tuesday, when Nasri will also negotiate his personal terms.

The sale comes after Nasri turned down a new contract offer from Arsenal this summer with just one year to run on his current deal.

The 24-year-old is expected to double his money at Eastlands, where he will join fellow summer signing Sergio Aguero as well as other big-money stars such as David Silva, Yaya Toure and Edin Dzeko.

By contrast, Arsenal have already lost their captain Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona this summer in one of the most protracted transfer sagas of all time.

The Gunners have brought in Ivory Coast forward Gervinho from French champions Lille and several young prospects in defender Carl Jenkinson, winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and striker Joel Campbell.

However, manager Arsene Wenger has come under increasing pressure to spend some of the club's significant resources on more experienced players who can help the club compete for silverware sooner rather than later, following six years without winning a major trophy.

Wenger is also suffering from being hit with a two-match touchline ban from UEFA and seeing his team start the Premier League season by taking just one point from a possible six.

How far do you think we can let it go before he does walk or get sacked, or the fans just fuck it off and do some serious protesting? I'm angry enough as it is, but I can't imagine what the season ticket holders must feel, spending more than ever to watch a load of average players play shit football and not even compete for trophies. At least in recent seasons we've played some good stuff and competed, which made it value for money, but at this point they aren't getting any return on their investment whatsoever.

Sounds like the deal won't be completed until tomorrow though as Nasri's agent won't get into Manchester until this evening.

AFC's sales of Fabregas, Nasri, Clichy & Queensland Rd as well as transfer proceeds account means can now invest almost £100m in players

LMFAO
Wages would have to come out of that too.

I cant see him getting sacked not with the amount of profit coming into the club from player sales. Our board and KSE don't give a flying fuck about trophys. What could force Wenger out could be us failing to get into the top 4.

The profits of the club are not going to exist soon, when we don't qualify for the CL, our remaining few class players leave, and loads of fans fuck off so we can't fill the stadium. The board must know they have to do something to try and ensure we stay competitive to keep their bank balances growing. At this stage it's looking too late to just tell him to go out and spend a load, because we can't attract the players now, so they've backed themselves into a corner where there's little option but to take a punt on a new manager. Depending on who's fault it really is that we haven't acted as we needed in the transfer market, he'll either walk or be fired.

Nasri is officially a Manchester City man. He's signed a 4 year deal.
