I expressed my worries before, but this week has gone very well - Chelsea, United, Inter and Madrid are all good enough for this stage which makes up for last week's palaver.
What would you like to have happened last week then?
Valencia to have converted their chances against Schalke. Milan to have turned their domination into goals against Spurs.

Great post by rolling on the top of page 2 btw.
Milan are shit and it would've been worse if they went through. We dominated the first leg and scored, should've been two or three infact. Milan dominated the second leg but failed to score. We were far better defensively than they were, far better attacking than they were. They failed to create any real chances apart from the clearence off the line. Anyone can pass the ball around all day but if you don't do anything with it then it's quite pointless.

Basically fluke, Joe wants the old guard to still be fielding world class outfits and creating history in a time when he can properly appreciate it. He is also sad to see the great Milan force of the mid-2000s surrender so meekly to a nouveau-riche side like Spurs, and equally he wants the Spanish teams to do well, partly because he is a massive fan of Spanish football, partly also because he loves a lot of their players (e.g. Banega), and partly because he wants la Liga to appear far less of a joke.

Winner.

fuck it i want real madrid. yes i know we will get dicked but maybe that will slap some sense into us and we finally start buying the worlds best.

we could draw barca and the same would happen but it wouldnt have as much as an affect because its barcelona, the greatest team of all time. against real we will give it a go and maybe fergie will realise that many of these players arent good enough.
