At home, I'd fancy United's chances against Barca. 40 from 42 points this season whilst conceding only nine is fucking immense. Of course Barca is a different cup of chai, but it just seems that United's strength at home this season is too good for the match to result in a loss for them.
Lol, look at the way you've worded that....you don't support Man United do you?
"United's" as opposed to "our"?

Hardly significant lol.

Them, as opposed to us.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

We're facing this situation nearly every season since 2006/07. The FA Cup semi will be a massive game but if we can win that we've got to fancy our chances there. Winning the league is still gonna very tough but it's only Utd and Arsenal in it.

The CL is the tough one, we could end up drawing Barca next round but if we can avoid them until the final, hoping they get knocked out of course, then we've got a good chance. Our awa form hasn't been good but if we can get all our players back then we're gonna be a force at home so I'd still fancy our chances.

I'm sure we'll slip up somewhere though, can't imagine this side succeeding where all our teams from 2006 onwards have failed.
An honourable team would want to meet Barca to prove their credentials... not hide in the shadows shaking with fear until they're gone, like an abused child.
 I can be honourable all I like but I still think Barca would smash us, our best chance of winning this competition, like everyone else, is by hoping Barca get knocked out before they get a chance to.

The degree to which I support my football club is defined by whether I use possessive adjectives or not? Okay then...

Wtf is this, Karate kid? Who gives a fuck about being honourable, thought you Gooners would have learnt now after "bowing" down to Barca in the last 2 campaigns.

United would have much more chance vs us over two legs imo. We'd smash them in a final.

Winner.

Agree with Goonie & Elcule, Man United would have a much better chance if they met Barca before the final, especially if they played the second-leg at OT

Treble chances are very very slim imo. If we beat City in the FA cup we have a good chance in that competition, likewise we have a good chance in the PL, but I just can't see us getting near to winning the CL, our midfield isn't good enough :( .

I don't know what this crap about our midfield not being good enough is George. Ferguson will undoubtedly play three in the middle in the later stages, probably with Park on the wing too. It's the centre of defence we have to worry about - that is, whether we can keep Ferdinand and, far more importantly, Vidic fit.

A hammer thrower, a passenger and a hollywood player. That's why it's not good enough.

Success is winning championships. It is nothing less than that. And when you win a championship - and we will - success isn't measured or accomplished by winning once.

You have a limited understanding of how midfields work.

Because our midfield don't control things Sam. Fletcher gives it away for fun, Carrick hides all game long and Scholes is getting old. It exposes our defence and gives our front men less to work with. That's why I have a problem with our midfield. Tell me with a straight face our midfield is as good as Barca's, Madrid's, Chelsea's, Inter's, Spurs' even.
