Just how big do you think this club is? Are they one of the biggest clubs in the world, up there with the very best, or are they off the radar atm because of the lack of recent European success? What makes the club so big? Bayern bring in more money through commercial revenue than any other club in the world, including giants Real Madrid and Barcelona, so why is this?

I'd love to know the answer to this. Near €180 million, 100 million clear of United. I suppose their massive deal with Deutsche Telekom/T-Mobile, and also Adidas and Audi are important factors, but still fucking hell. And it's a Bundesliga thing as well, for example, Schalke, Dortmund and Leverkusen appear in the top 15 commercial revenues.

I think they're right up there. Real Madrid have such a glamourous history littered with trophies and a tradition of having the world's best players that makes them the biggest and best.

But after that there's a bunch of clubs that there isn't much to choose from. Milan, Man Utd, Barcelona, Bayern, Liverpool, Juventus and Ajax that are huge clubs with great histories and they've had some incredible team and some of the world's best players.

Bayern are a well run club as you'd expect from Germany's top club, the Bundesliga has always paled in comparison with Serie A, La Liga and the PL in recent years but it's getting stronger, it's a competitive league and Bayern can attract some top players. They have a good chance of winning the CL in the next few years to put them right up there in terms of overall European wins. They're a big, big club.

Not that big, not in the world's top 5 at any rate; I just never really see them as a threat whenever a good team plays them - was shocked to see them knock out United, though I suppose United aren't a great side. They're doing shit in the league at the moment as well.

Winner.

They seem content on qualifying for the champions league and then putting all there efforts into europe lately.. Shame, id have a lot more respect for them if they were running away with the league eveery season.

Although i love Dortmund and theyre smashing it :D

Why are they so shit in the Bundesliga? They're losing 3-1 to Hannover.

Btw, is it "the bundesliga" or just "in bundesliga"

The Bundesliga. They're just having a bad season, poor defence, inconsistent lineup. They've only just got their full strength attack back, they'll probably walk the league next season.

Kraft is pretty poor, had a good game against Inter which put him on the map though.

Wonder would Reina interest them if we don't satisfy his ambitions in the summer.

If Bayern spend big bucks on a GK they'd most likely go for Neuer. I'm not sure Reina would like a move to the Bundesliga anyway, bit of a step down from the limelight of the PL.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.
