Phil makes a good point him and Torres could have been sensational together.
I didnt say that RN did but thanks, i do agree with the statement though.

If I was a United fan the only place I'd ever want to see Rooney is leading the line. He was unreal there for most of 09/10.
LMAO THOSE WERE CERTAINLY NOT YOUR WORDS AT THE TIME :laughcry: Tap-in merchant was it? Any striker would've scored 30+ with the service he got :laughcry:

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

 Rooney is sensational wherever he plays these days, just an out and out machine. Reminds me of Steven Gerrard.

Hee is a class act but he clearly shouldnt be leading the line for us. He needs to be playing in a 4-2-3-1 in behind a Torres like player. Kenny bought Carroll as he wanted a little and large type combo but that does work. Suarez is so creative so he needs players to play on the shoulder to take advantage of this. He doesnmt have tge pace to run in behind all the time and usually its the smaller striker that does that role when playing wit a big striker. When Carroll flicks on the headers Suarez doenst want to be chasing it so all our football is played in front of the defenders. Even the Torres of today would have thrived on playing with Suarez

Personally don't believe that the 4321 AM role would suit Suarez. Wide left in a 433 or as a shadow striker in a 442 would be best IMO.

Shadow striker role is where he's best, but I imagine that's essentially what RN means.

I'm not sure Suarez has the passing ability to play there. If I was building a team to play 4231 I'd rather have Ozil types instead of Suarez types.
