Inter should have placed higher value on landing Arsene Wenger from Arsenal, not Rafael Benitez, claims Luciano Moggi.

Benitez has struggled to emulate the imperialism established by Jose Mourinho. The Nerazzurri are already four points down compared to last season's league run at this stage.

Moggi believes Wenger was the true heir to Mourinho, not the Spaniard.

"They should have signed Arsene Wenger, who wanted to leave Arsenal," Moggi told 7 Gold.

"What has Rafael Benitez done in his career? He just lives on the 3-3 in the Champions League final in Istanbul [against Milan in 2005].

"And he cost Liverpool so much money too."

Wow ok, wanted to leave Arsenal?

Wenger would easily win Scudetto with Inter. Its a moot point though, he'd have never left us for them. Only place he'd have gone would be Barca.

He wouldn't win it for them at all. If Benitez is having problems this severe I doubt Wenger would be able to control them.

Best manager in the league with the best squad in the league. Yes, he'd win the league just as Rafa will if he's not sacked.

Wenger would do fuck all in Italy, or any other country for that matter. Finished as a manager now, he'll require 5 years to start winning anything at another club, even then it's doubtful.

He's finished as a manager and will still finish above City. Brilliant.

Ant thinks most of our players are shit and our manager is shit, but we're still 2nd in the league. Something doesn't add up.

Inter really should have signed Wenger, it was a dilemma, coz you're not from Milan, Milan, Milan.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.
