I'd imagine the referees are blasted by the FA in a private meeting. If you do something wrong at work, you don't get blasted infront of your entire workforce, you'd get dragged into the managers office and they'd have a word with you. The fact is, referees do an undesirable job and will always make mistakes, just as players do, so as much as I despise them at times, it's just part of the game you have to accept.
Spot on :greatpost:

TV is a big part of football. I think refs should accept the nature of their job and get the fuck on with it. They can make a fool of a player live on TV by pretty much calling him a cheat. If they're wrong, nothing happens in fact the player will probably still be banned. But when the ref makes a mistake they have to keep it zipped to protect these fragile little men and the difficult job they have. Gimme a break, you'd swear we're talking about a bunch of children here.

Harry is spot on to boycott the media if he gets a ban. He hasn't done a thing wrong.

The FA have decided to take no further action against Harry Redknapp following his comments regarding referee Mark Clattenburg’s decision to award Nani’s controversial goal in Tottenham's 2-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester United.
