Sensational footballer.
Scholes

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

I HAVE SCANNED THROUGH THIS THREAD BUT SAW SOMETHING ALONG THE LINES OF IRRELEVANT PIECES OF PLAY IF NOT A GOAL OR ASSIST IF YOU WANT IRRLEVANT AND POINTLESS PIECES OF PLAY THEN THE BEST EXAMPLE I CAN GIVE IS MtDub ON FIFA 11 INIESTA ON THE OTHER AND DOES SMETHING PROGRESSIVE WITH THE BALL ALMOST EVERY TIME HE GETS IT, LIKEWISE PAUL SCHOLES.

Too thnk this guy had the nerve to lecture Matty about how he isn't as wonderful a poster as him because he can learn from his mistakes and such and see when he's wrong, yet he's made yet another utterly useless post about Iniesta and can't back it up at all and yet again won't see that he's wrong.

I've taken on board what you've said about Iniesta on plenty of occasions and I rate him easily among the top 5 players in the world. If he sustains this form he may well eclipse Xavi in my eyes.

The problem I have with both of you is that you don't seem to grasp what I write about him, hence you saying I'm being "false" whenever I praise him or describe one of my posts as "useless". When I say things like "Iniesta is irrelevant" it's quite blatantly exaggeration, but you buffoons see something like that and take it to represent my opinion on him and devote the next couple of posts to oh-so-high-and-mighty patronisation. Frankly, out of the regular LF posters both yourself and DaGunners are two of the worst debaters and it just irritates me.

Sorry Rolling I shouldn't have scan-read and should've expected DaGunners to twist your words.

Whether it's an exaggeration or not it's utter bullshit, because he is about as relevant a footballer as you could get. The only way you could make what you said credible is if it was pure sarcasm. You're WUM attempt at the end there was as embarressing as an Arturn post lol

Making the right decision really. Just because a player completes a pass it can still be a shit one ie. Anderson, Nasri in DaG's opinion...

It's about being aware of the positions of every player on the pitch, calculating how that will change in the next 5 or so seconds depending on how you either pass or carry the ball, and then whenever the pass is played it is the most progressive ie. is the pass that gives your team the best possible chance of scoring from this attack. This pass can be made in the middle or final third. This is why most football fans don't really understand the game and it's why a world class player like Dimitar Berbs is starved of the recognition he deserves. Great players don't aimlessly wait for openings to materialise, every movement they make is an attempt to force one themselves.

Success is winning championships. It is nothing less than that. And when you win a championship - and we will - success isn't measured or accomplished by winning once.

Well no, I didn't, but regardless I was asking Scholes to explain his use of a certain term. I doubt you would have defined progressive in the same way Scholes did...

Fucking incredible. His change of direction is the best in world football, and his spatial awareness when dribbling is out of this world. Such a delicate player, cannot wait to see what his YouTube compilation will look like when his career is completed.
