Who, in the peak of both men's careers, was the better player? |

Cesc is already better than Riquelme ever was, although Riquelme himself was top class. His superior athleticism and agility is the main tipping point for me, I don't think Riquelme would have been able to display his full array of talents if he played in the Premiership because he wouldn't have been afforded time. Cesc, on the otherhand, would be world class playing in any league in the world. |

"You would have to say honestly, no. But I have to tell you, when I walked through the door, more than any other player, he grabbed me - and he grabbed me within two training sessions. I asked, 'Who's that?'. | |

Hard to compare as they play different position. Riquelme is probably the last true attacking midfielder whilst Cesc is one of these new sorts of #10s who operates much further up the pitch and does more running. |

Fabregas. Riquelme was a skillful, intelligent player but he's never produced anything like what Fabregas is capable of. |
