YES WHAT A SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS AND IT JUST GOES TO SHOW TORRES NEVER TRULY LOVED LIVERPOOL WHEN HE COULD EASILY GET A MOVE IN THE SUMMER TO A TOP EUROPEAN CLUB BUT ULTIMATELY THE ONLY REASON THIS TRANSFER HAS HAPPENED IS BECAUSE LIVERPOOL KNOW 50M FOR AN AVERAGE PLAYER IS TOO GOOD TO TURN DOWN, DESPITE SPLASHING 60% OF THAT ON ANOTHER ONE.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

He is a world class striker, arguably the best in the league when he is fully fit.

I do think it's sad that he cared so little about the fans and the club that he'd move to a direct competitor. Football has changed, players are slowly becoming merecenarys moving to the highest bidder. The connection between fans, players and the clubs are becoming more and more artificial. What ever happened to rivalry, what happened to respect to the club and it's fans. Torres has basically given Liverpool the finger and people are only going to be hung up about him leaving, not even registering that he went to a big rival.

Success is winning championships. It is nothing less than that. And when you win a championship - and we will - success isn't measured or accomplished by winning once.

That's the extent of what Torres has done domestically in his career, with a 7th place finish last season with Liverpool and spending the majority of this season in the bottom half, would you really advise Torres to stay? If you're the best, you want to win trophies, you want to prove yourself, Torres has done what's best for his career, forget loyalty, loyalty requires something in return these days and it isn't realistic to expect anything else.

Yessss what a Super Sunday that will be, pity there won't be Andy Gray and Richard Keys to give it the coverage it deserves.

Winner.

Yes. They were good tonight. Ancellotti was silly to take Torres off though.

Torres had a fair few, Luiz should have scored from that header too, as should Essien.

Sums Chelsea up to be honest. 30 minutes to go, no cutting edge, started pumping balls into the area and playing for set pieces. Fucking shambles.

I kind of fancy Chels squeezing into the 4th spot at the end of the season. Spurs have a tough line of fixtures coming up and they will bottle some of it.
