I could actually see Barca going for Tevez.
Eurrghhhh. I'd hate that.
I would too but I think he'd be a really good fit for the team. He can play the 433 CF role or he can play left or right, and he presses like mad which all Barca forwards do anyway.
He wouldn't start imo. Or shouldn't at least. But yah he is in that sense a Barca type forward.

Of course he'd start, it'd ve Villa Tevez Messi up front in some sort of combination.

Rooney wont be leaving United. They'll come to some sort of agreement that doesnt see Fergie or Utd lose face, and shows Rooney as a new man who is willing to die for the club he loves. I expect a story along the lines of 'There is still a chance I could remain at Utd' to materialise. i'd be surprised to see any other outcome

No chance. Better players have left over lesser things. Fergie was pissed with Beckham over his media antics and all he was doing was raising his profile. Rooney is giving himself a bad name, worse than Beckham. Fergie won't stand for it.

I can't see it mate...The tiger is out of the cage now.

Fergie is a bigger man than Rooney. A boss could never fold to an associate.

Is that like a more serious version of letting the cat out of the bag?

No, because Tigers can kill you.

Fergie: "There's no offer on the table as they are not prepared to listen to an offer but there's always an offer from Manchester United to negotiate with any player and that's still there," he said.

Rooney will stay. I bet my dignity.

The Beckham comparisons are wrong. Beckham was becoming more of a celebrity than a footballer and his premadona ego was getting to big to handle. Rooney was more of a project for fergie, taking a rough diamond and trying to perfect it into a goal machine.

Everyone knows football is what rooneys all about an this current episode could be down to his "fragile" mental state. Hence why there is still an offer on the table. Fergie is more than willing to take him back.

I don't see how Rooney can stay and Fergie doesn't get made to look like a mug. Won't happen unless Rooney comes out and makes a public apology which I don't see happening when he has just put in a transfer request.

Utd are in a poor situation atm, with limited money for transfers and a squad that isnt good enough to win the league imo. To let their talisman go 5 minutes after seeing their other talisman, Ronaldo, leave would be a situation that even Fergie would find difficult to control. Thats why letting Rooney leave, for whatever reason, is a different kettle of fish from letting players leave in the past.

And when Rooney does stay, people best kiss my hairy ass.
