What's Defour like?

I know we've been linked with him for years but I haven't seen him play a whole lot to be honest.

I like Defour, a lot!

He knows how to control the game, he can hold the ball well, and he's cocky in a good way...

He's definitely United material, and I've been wanting him to join us for ages..

@Cockney, He will join us.

that isnt really a reason why evra's salary will be boosted unless he is in contract negotiations.
I don't mind them being boosted, but boosted by £30K? He's going to be 33 in 2014, most likely been replaced by Fabio at that stage.

Sir Alex Ferguson will target a big money move for Bayern Munich star Bastian Schweinsteiger and has placed the German international at the very top of his wish-list. The Manchester United boss sees the 26 year old as an ideal long term replacement for veteran Paul Scholes and will fight hard to lure the talented goal scoring midfielder in the summer.

Ferguson feels he could convince Schweinsteiger, now in his ninth season in the Bayern Munich first team, to leave the Allianz Arena in search of a new challenge after securing five Bundesliga titles and various assorted domestic honours.

Manchester United will face a fight with a number of other prospective bidders as the likes of Inter Milan and Chelsea have also reported an interest in the £35m rated German. Wayne Rooney had demanded an improvement on the current squad and the Glazers have confirmed they will back Sir Alex in the transfer market and thus the club have the funds to make a significant bid for Schweinsteiger.

Ferguson has a number of concerns in the midfield department with the likes of Anderson and Michael Carrick failing to impress and with Owen Hargreaves constantly sidelined a lot of pressure has been placed back on the shoulders of 35 year old Scholes and as such the need to bring in a top notch replacement.

Sadly, if Bastian's contract runs down, Real would be first in the pecking order.

What a beast!

He won't go to Milan, Berlusconi will not spend big on their central midfielders i.e. they are looking to sign Poli.

They would have to spend in and around the region of £25m, Poli would cost £10 million + £ x million in wages less. Allegri/Galliani will sign one or two other relatively unknowns. Milan will NOT sign him.

Highly doubt Schweini will be going for 25M. He's not as valuable a player as Ozil and he moved for 15M.

As for Poli, he's not good enough for Milan.

I'd absolutely love to see Bastian at Milan, just what they need.

Winner.

Wtf?!? Not as valuable as Oezil? Gay.

Not at this current moment in time, but given his potential, he will be Milan quality.

He's not. Ozil plays a position where its much harder to find very good players, he's a better player, and he's a lot younger. Its not rocket science. Ozil is also more marketable.

No. If he were to go for £25 million, Milan would do better to sign 2 quality full-backs.
