I don't give a fuck about Song's goals really Goonie, although it is handy for a box to box midfielder like himself to get on the scoresheet. He had a bit of a slow start to the season but in recent matches has been really good defensively too. It's time all you blockheads stopped judging him purely as a DM though, comparing him to De Jong and others who sit all day, it's simply not his role and because of that he's not always going to be there to cut off every opposition attack.
You compare him to the best DM's he will get shown up and if you compare to him to the best box to box midfielders he gets shown up even more as he is fucking useless going forward. You said he is creating more chances, ummmmmmm why have I yet to see these chances? Only one that sticks out is the one for Nasri against Shaktar and that needed a huge deflection to get to him.

He put Sagna in behind West Ham twice with great through balls, the first of which led to Cesc's opportunity. Memory of a warthog you have mate. Read this cunt lips, so true except for the bit where he says Song is a far better holder than Denilson. He's not, because Denilson generally reads the game better despite being less of a physical specimen, and this is why Wenger has Denilson holding and Song box to box:

Song is shocking defensively, I've no idea what Triggle is talking about here. He gives away free kick after free kick and his positioning is shocking. He's only useful when the opponent rapes a touch and he can fly in and win the ball.

The sort of balls you see Arshavin do 2/3 times half lol. Yet he doesn't create anything does he Trig. Denilson is better going forward that Song, he though is always played in the defensive role. Regardless of who he plays with :oi: Which is fair as he is the best we have at it but annoying becuase people now think Song is better going forward. Anyway Wilshere should take Songs place, much better player. Even Ramsey should be picked ahead of him.

Goonie, you don't know what you're on about mate. When does Arshavin set up shit? Give me an exampe against West Ham of where he's set someone free in behind? He hasn't, and he very rarely ever does, because he's fucking diabolical!!!!!!! As for Denilson being better going forward than Song, that's bullshit. Denilson is not great going forward at all, whilst Song has improved that part of his game massively. And if Denilson did start going forward a lot, he wouldn't be able to get back and defend as he has nowhere near the engine Song has. This would mean we have just Song defending, and two midfielders attacking. At the moment with how Wenger is setting it up, we have two midfielders attacking, and two defending, because Song can get up and down well enough to do both. It's pretty basic stuff really. YOu can keep talking shit if you like, and thinking you know better than Wenger, but you're not pulling the wool over my eyes.

And as for you DaG, i've never heard of this blogger before so I don't know whether he talks shit or not, but this article is pretty much bang on. And anyway, I found it as something that backed up my feelings, rather than something to base my feelings off (which is I think is what you do on many occassions). I'm not influenced by what anybody else says, I base my opinions purely off what I see happening on the pitch.

He set Chamakh free against City a couple of weeks ago and they are a better team than West Ham  Also the type of balls Song played to Sagna you see EVERY game from Arshavin to Clichy. Its not bullshit at all, when Song has had a role where he has got forward he has done better than Song ever has. The best example would be Newcastle 08/09. The link up play was lovely and the movement class before finishing it. Song could only dream but Denilson rarely gets the chance to go forward. Denilson pisses over Song going forward and no Song has not improved. I don't want Denilson to go forward I want him to stay back with Wilshere/Ramsey doing what Song does becuase both are much better at it. I am not talking shit at all. Song is average as fuck and should not be close to Arsenal.

Goonie I despair with you mate. It will be Denilson who is sacrificed when Wilshere and Ramsey return, because Wenger will go with two box-to-box midfielders and Cesc. This will allow extra combinations of players getting into attacking positions, while keeping two who can still do the defensive work. Song will be one of them, as him, Cesc and Jackie are going to be the first choice central midfield for most of this season, so get used to it. Next season Cesc will probably go, and then it will likely be Ramsey, Wilshere and Song, as Ramsey should be back to his best, or even better, by then.

Did I say it wouldn't be Denilson dropped? No, it shouldn't be though as Song is shit. Anyway Denilson will leave us and go on to show he is twice the player Song is.

There's no way to know what Ramsey will be like when he is back. The FACT is Denilson is a better central midfielder than Alex Song.

Goonie... Wenger > you, mate. I like Denilson as a player, don't get me wrong, but Wenger wants as much versatility in his midfield as possible so we don't become predictable to the opposition in terms of who needs to be picked up and exactly where and when they're going to pop up. Denilson can defend well and do a reasonable job going forward now and again, so in that respect he's fairly versatile, but he hasn't the engine to be constantly back defending and joining most attacks for the full 90 minutes. Song has, he's just a more dynamic player in general.

P.S If Song had of got caught in possession the way Denilson did multiple times in the first half hour against West Ham you would have roasted the fuck out of him. Both you and DaG are very, very biased when it comes to Song and Denilson. The truth is they're both far from perfect, but still a lot better than most the cack that inhabits the PL.

Lmao, Denilson has a much better engine than Song. Song is fucked after 60-70 minutes, Denilson keeps his level for the full 90. Great stamina.

Anyway, Wenger has won fuck all for 5 years. Once he starts winning trophies that matter I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. But Song wouldn't get games at B level for Barca.

With Denilson its a rarity, with Song its fairly common. Not too hard to work out.
