I'm sorry, but Dag is 100% spot on here, and I'm going to back my bro here...You boys are absolutely fucking fickle as fuck! in 6 months times...you boys will be chanting his name, and I will run to the nearest bathroom to have a barf session. He treated the club, players, managers and us as fans as complete dirt. Nothing has changed now he's signed again, in fact, perhaps it makes it worse. Rooney led us all along, patronized and belittled players who are playing much better than him right now, and a manager infinitely more talented than him who has always tried to help him, and mocked the intelligence of fans ridiculously more intelligent than him. I really don't have a care in the world that he's signed for us again, but one thing for certain, I will not back him anymore...And I hope him resigning a deal can ensure us with getting a good fee when he fucks off, which I hope is soon..Like next summer.

With Rooney being as stupid as he is, its entirely possible that this entire ploy was arranged by Stretford to get a monster contract and more money into his own pocket.

Fat pig should be thrown out on his ear so he can go and join the rest of the money hungry scum where he belongs.

Very surprised Ferguson has given in, this has completely changed our wage structure (if Rooney is going to earn £180k). The likes of Nani and Fletcher, both on £50-60k, will not be happy with fats getting such a massive payrise.

I wondered what sort of reaction there would be from united fans, im pleased to be honest but mainly because him leaving would have made it difficult to see any top player joining after rooney had questioned the clubs ambition and ability to win things. Now the opposite is true and i fully expect united to make a couple of big signings, i dont think fergie would allow the club to be held to ransom so i dont believe it was totally about money, it appears he was worried about the clubs situation and he must have recieved certain assurances to convince him

Im not going to forget what hes done but im pleased hes staying, no doubt if he scores the winner in a big game the fans will forget all about that and be accused of being fickle. Football is like that though fabregas wanted to join barca in the summer, although he went about it properly and with class, and arsenal fans have forgiven him although that is a bit different. The city fans who didnt want him would have changed there tune pretty quickly. Look at the liverpool fans burning gerrard shirts after he put in a transfer request and told the club he wanted to join chelsea, he changed his mind and they forgot about it straight away. If rooney puts in the performances this will be forgotten about because thats what footballs like

The Fabregas and Gerrard situations are completely different though. Fabregas wants back to his boyhood club and hasn't tried to force a move, he's ever had a problem signing long term contracts at Arsenal. And Gerrard has been too good for us for years, wanted a league title and never will get one now. Rooney is playing for the biggest club in the premiership, winning 3 of the last 4 titles and looked to move to their biggest rivals for a payday. Looks like he's got that payday off Utd now. I don't think he'll ever get back to the god like status he had before.

Success is winning championships. It is nothing less than that. And when you win a championship - and we will - success isn't measured or accomplished by winning once.

Spot on with the majority. I only disagree with the last part, if he stars in a very successful United campaign he will be loved just as much again.

Nah a load of fans will get all over anything he does from now on imo, next time he tackles like a twat, or gives the ref abuse etc, he'll be called on it.
