He obviously still respects the club
Bullshit! He's obviously not gonna come out and slag the club. But his disrespect is quite obvious. He wants to leave a club he's won numerous trophies at just because SAF won't splash the cash? He's got no loyalty or respect towards United, which is to be expected as he's got no loyalty or respect for others in his personal life.
Probably the only thing me and you have ever agreed on when it comes to him

"I was interested to hear what Sir Alex has had to say yesterday, and surprised by some of it. It is absolutley true, my agent and I have had a number of meetings with the club about a new contract. During those meetings in August, I asked for assurances that the continued ability of the club to attract the top players in the world.(?) I never had anything but complete respect for Manchester United football club . How could I not have done, given its fantastic history, especially its last 6 years, which I've been lucky to play a part. For me, it's always about winning trophies, as the club has always done under Sir Alex Ferguson. because of that, I think the questions I ask were justified. However, when I met with David Gill last week, he did not give me any of the assurances I was seeking about the future squad. I then told him I would not be signing a new contract despite recent dificulties. I know I will always how Sir Alex a huge debt, he is a great manager and mentor who has helped and supported me from the day he signed me from Everton when I was 18. For Manchester United's sake, I wish he could go on forever because he is a genius."
WHAT A FUCKING LOAD OF SHIT! He really is a money hungry cunt...Assurance = I need a bigger check!

He's just chattin up this bollocks to keep the United fans on his side.....I can't believe his statement for one bit.

I really hope this spurs us on to do big things this season!!!!

COME ON UNITEDDD!!!

I'd say he still respects Ferguson though.
I don't. He told David Gill that he wanted out before ever even chatting to SAF. Actually, I've not heard anything about Rooney sitting down with SAF and talking it out.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
It's a shit statement precisely for those last points. Unbelievable reasoning.
You misunderstand what I mean.
"That's a good statement from him, expressing exactly what he thinks and the reasons for him wanting to leave." From his perspective it may seem to be a good statement.

Putting across "lost far too much faith in the club far too quickly." is a good statement?

We'll see how much he respects United by who he leaves us for
 Chelsea is fine, City is not.
No it's not fucking fine! Real or Barca is fine! Moving to them cockney wankers is just as bad! If neither had a billionaire in charge they'd be rotting mid table at this time

He better move to Madrid...If he moves to Madrid, we'll definitely get Benzema out of the deal. If he goes to City or Chels, then the money will be in thin air..

A good quote off a forum:- "Meanwhile, down in London, a young Spaniard has consistently been Arsenal's best player, despite being denied his dream move in the summer and Wenger failing to sign the new keeper every fucker on the planet knows they need to win the league."

When is this "bad season" going to happen though? I'm not being obtuse here, but people really have started to turn on United after a few shit results at the start of the season. Clearly there are things that aren't going well at United but you have to remember that this is the world's second-largest club.

Mourinho has already intimated his desire to manage us at some point, Vidic is staying for a while, Scholes seems to have legs left in him, Nani is the brightest wide prospect in the game at present, Berbatov has hit some form, there's good group of youngsters around from which a star might arise, and we have the greatest motivator in sport within our ranks who fight till the last to make sure this club stays great.

BELIEVE
Who knows? Who predicted Liverpools slump last season after taking the title race down to the last day the year before?
Can't remember that, mate.
Scholes

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart
