24, 23 same difference. He's been at United 3 seasons and still isn't a consistent performer. He's in the 'failed talent' category although that can change.

When is this "bad season" going to happen though? I'm not being obtuse here, but people really have started to turn on United after a few shit results at the start of the season. Clearly there are things that aren't going well at United but you have to remember that this is the world's second-largest club.

Mourinho has already intimated his desire to manage us at some point, Vidic is staying for a while, Scholes seems to have legs left in him, Nani is the brightest wide prospect in the game at present, Berbatov has hit some form, there's good group of youngsters around from which a star might arise, and we have the greatest motivator in sport within our ranks who fight till the last to make sure this club stays great.

BELIEVE
Who knows? Who predicted Liverpools slump last season after taking the title race down to the last day the year before? A few more poor results and heads start to drop, the players are already showing signs of waning confidence. And being one fo the biggest clubs in the world doesn't automatically stop you from having a bad season. And should that happen then Utd are in all kinds of trouble, look at Liverpool now for example, 18 months ago we were battering Utd and Madrid in one week, nowadays the players go into every game expecting to lose. You can't underestimate the impact a loss in confidence will do to a team. And that won't be helped by the star man wanting out becuase he doesn't think you are good enough to challenge in the coming years.

I don't think Utd will have trouble this year as the older players will keep the shit together. But what happens when Scholes, Giggs, Neville and VDS retire? What if Evra doesn't come out of his slump? What if Valencia comes back a shadow of a player he was? There are a lot of variables to consider, and while I completely understand where your point of view comes from, I know where that kind of view can lead. See the club 19th in the table that was 24 hours of going into administration.

Success is winning championships. It is nothing less than that. And when you win a championship - and we will - success isn't measured or accomplished by winning once.

Bollocks. Ant chats shit all the time because he hates us. Don't sit there and try to claim you predicted us going from title challenger to bottom of the table within 2 seasons.

Talk about switching the fucking goal posts. Last I said Liverpool would be in a battle for 4th which is a significant slip from being title contenders the season before.

Yes valid points, although United are clearly in a far better situation than Liverpool were after 08-09. I'm someone who loves the ups and downs of football and this is one rollercoaster that's just getting started, so let's end this debate here and see where it takes us.
