This fucking pisses me off, I fucking love Newcastle and I'm worried about their chances of survival now without Ben Arfa but you can all fuck off if you thing De Jong is to blame, grow some fucking balls you cunts and learn to appreciate the tougher sides of the game.

NDJ is a despicable hero. :)

Winner.

If Newcaslte do down as a result of this then I'd be fucking chuffed.

In other news, I've determined that De Jong has been the best DM in the world this season.

Over the top tackle, no questions about it. Football is a contact sport...your points? Contact is made all the time, but unnecessary contact is another matter. Some players go into challenges with more than winning the ball on their agenda, and De Jong is one of them. He wasn't making sure he won the tackle, he could easily have done that without the afters and he knows it. Aggressive, unsporting behaviour, no two ways about it. There are far worse challenges that players have escaped unscathed from, but that doesn't detract from the fact that De Jong did wrong.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Bit of a dangerous tackle that. I was expecting something truly brutal but it wasn't that bad.

De Jong should watch what he's doing in future. I know he won the ball so technically it's a good tackle, but going in like that is just reckless and no-one can claim otherwise. If he didn't get the ball, he'd be receiving a big ban no doubt about it. Getting the ball doesn't make everything alright.

I seen Ant say Ben Arfa was unlucky to be standing on that leg as De Jong crashed through him and indeed he was, you don't get this result with many tackles, even the most dangerous kind, but De Jong should know that going in like that is probably going to result in a bad injury or broken leg and he just can't be that reckless. Hard tackles are becoming a thing of the past and I miss the sort of challenges De Jong makes in every game. He's a man's player, but this sort of challenge is dangerous in any era. I know he's a top class DM and his crunching tackles are a big part of his game but he's really gonna have to figure out some other way of dispossessing players because if he carries on making tackles like that he's gonna send a lot of players to hospital.

Personally I think this challenge is more dangerous than the challenge from behind which is banned altogether from football. At least from behind there's less risk of snapping a leg.

Bert van Marwijk has declared he had no "option" other than withdraw Manchester City's Nigel de Jong from the Netherlands squad after his horror tackle on Hatem Ben Arfa.

De Jong, 25, fractured the Newcastle United player's leg in the opening minutes of yesterday's 2-1 victory after a thumping challenge. Although not punished by the referee at the time, the tackle was severely criticised by the Dutch head coach earlier when he branded it "wild and unnecessary" when he spoke to Algemeen Dagblad.

Speaking to reporters since, the ex-Feyenoord boss revealed he had informed his charges that de Jong had been dropped for the fixtures against Moldova and Sweden.

He said: "I just told the other players. I told them that I didn't see another option.

"I will talk to him in some time.

"Now, I want to focus with my staff and my players on the two important Euro 2012 qualifying matches."

Message for the Glory;

Those defending him should be ashamed, if this was his first time doing it, then yes most of you would be spot on. But the guy is a thug, the amount of times he has made leg breaking as well as other tackles are insane. What he did was without control and very dangerous, he needs to be banned by the FA and be told to change his game.

Look at Mascherano as an example, he is as good if not better as De Jong and you don't see him breaking peoples legs or stamping on their chests....
