Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Other personal favourites of mine...

Then there's Ronaldo's second goal against Arsenal in the CL etc...so many great goals, but at the end of the day there's one team that features in my list more than any other team, and that's Arsenal...Arsenal 00-05 played the best football of all-time IMO.

All of these are very special goals but there's no doubt that Bergkamp's goal against Newcastle is the greatest goal of all-time.

Yes, I agree, that first touch from Adebayor was so so good, great technique...saying that, the best touch you'll ever see is Bergkamp's against Newcastle...droolworthy.

You have got such great taste in goals Scholes, the footballing purists will love this thread when they watch all the goals. Wrighty is a little inexperienced and won't appreciate the greatness of goal #3, but I'm sure he'll appreciate the inclusion of A.Cole's goal at Villa Park, a simply sensational team goal from start to finish.

You can see the goal-scorers name/opposition though right and must be familiar with at least 8 of them. I can forgive people for not remembering A.Cole's/Quaresma's goals.

Obviously there are a lot of goals overlooked from other leagues/international level, but do you agree with my order?

Yeah I'm not familiar with Quaresma's or Cole's, but I reckon if I saw Cole's again I'd remember it if you see what I mean.

I like your order and how you've given preference to clever, subtle goals over sheer belters - apart from Ronaldo's but that really was something else. I'd be interested to see DaG's list too as I feel he might have a slightly broader knowledge of European leagues to choose from than you Scholes. Like you say, you've probably overlooked a fair few decent ones but obviously you did that from memory so it's pretty good mate. I would've put Zidane's goal vs Leverkusen in.

  What a thread. That A.Cole goal was insane, how could anybody not remember it, that was Arsenal at their peak in the days where I tuned in literally expecting them to thrash any team with some amazing fluid football, I remember them truly crushing Villa that day with some amazing football. When I opened this topic up I expected 10 goals from Paul Scholes but this is a welcome surprise :D I think Zidane vs Leverkusen could have been included, but I do like a lot of your selections, it's always tough to make a list like this as I could ask you to do the same in a months time and the result could be a lot different. Vieira vs Liverpool 2004

Here are a few favourites of mine (not necessarily top 10) that you haven't already included...

Success is winning championships. It is nothing less than that. And when you win a championship - and we will - success isn't measured or accomplished by winning once.
