23 MAN EUROPA LEAGUE SQUAD HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED WHICH IS THE SQUAD WE WILL HAVE TO KEEP FOR THE REST OF THE CAMPAIGN, ALTHOUGH WE CAN ADD 2 MORE MEN TO THE SQUAD AFTER THE TRANSFER DEADLINE (MILNER AND BALOTELLI WITHOUT DOUBT) HERE IS THE OVERVIEW - BELLAMY, JO AND IRELAND ALL LEFT OUT - WOWWWWW HUGE NEWS THESE GUYS WILL MORE THAN LIKELY BE OFF THEN NO DOUBT ABOUT IT THEY'RE GONE, ITS A HUGE SHAME IMO COS BELLERS STILL HAS FOOTBALL TO OFFER BUT I DONT WANT HIS PERSONALITY AROUND AND AFTER THE SPURS GAME I WON'T EVER FORGIVE HIM. IRELAND IS SUCH A TALENTED PLAYER I WISH HE COULD HAVE KEPT UP HIS FORM BUT IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN AND NOW WE JUST HAVE TO ACCEPT THAT WE'VE MOVED ON TO BETTER PLAYERS AND HE DOESN'T HAVE A PLACE HERE ANYMORE. ROBINHO IN THE SQUAD - YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS HE'S BACK, HE SERIOUSLY WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN THIS SQUAD IF HE WASN'T COMING BACK, MANCIO WOULD HAVE KEPT SOMEONE LIKE IRELAND AROUND IF ROBSON WAS OFF BUT NO THAT'S IT THAT IS OUR TEAM SORTED ROBINHO IS COMING HOME HE'S COMING HOME HE'S COMINGGGGGG YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS |

Robinho is in footballing limbo. He sat out Manchester City's opening game of the Premier League campaign and although he might be in action in midweek in the Europa League, or possibly playing his football somewhere else before the end of the month, he needs to sort things out fast because this is a huge season for him. I well recall his debut in the Brazilian Championship for an astonishingly young Santos side that went on to lift the title. That was eight years ago. Eight years from now, Robinho will be 34 going on 35, so his time at the top has probably already passed the halfway mark and yet a huge question mark still hangs over him. There is no escaping the fact that so far he has been a big disappointment in European club football and it would be unfair to pin all the blame for this on the clubs he has played for - because even after playing some 80 times for Brazil, the same doubts surround him at international level.. THE BITS IN BOLD ARE PURE AND UTTER SHIT FROM TIM VICKERY OMFG ROBINHO HAS BEEN A GENIUS AT INTERNATIONAL LEVEL AND HE WAS ARGUABLY BRAZIL'S PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT IN SOUTH AFRICA. HE ALSO NEGLECTS TO POINT OUT THAT ROBINHO WAS INCREDIBLE FOR MADRID IN 07-08 AND THAT HE CERTAINLY DID NOT "FAIL" FOR THEM. When I read shit like this (the rest of the article is actually fairly decent however) it really makes me angry. It's not just the BBC though, it's all these football pundits/commentators. The World Cup was a fucking disgrace in that respect; Peter Drury highlighted Pique as the weak spot in Spain's defence, Hansen thought Iniesta was player of the tournament and laughed at it being given to Forlan, AND all of them said Messi was was crap. It really makes my blood boil because if I was in their position I would just spend all my time researching so that I would make sure I knew what I was talking about, mainly because I love the game but also because it would be my fucking job! You have websites like ZonalMarking which truly put wankers like Vickery to shame in terms of knowledge, depth, intelligence, and precision. Most of the posters on this forum make more accurate comments than the likes of Vickery etc, it's just appalling and something needs to be done. |
