Depends on whether he gives Kaka a chance. Mourinho has his own way of moulding a team and I don't think there's enough room to accomodate both Kaka and Ronaldo unless Ronaldo is played as an out and out striker. People need to get this idea that he will go 4231 with Di Maria, Kaka, Ronaldo and Higuain out of their heads. There's only room for one of Kaka or Di Maria imo and if Di Maria is indeed Mou's signing then I think we might be seeing Madrid go 433.

The midfield evidently needs strengthening if they want to not drop their customary six points to Barcelona, maybe he'll go for someone like Essien, or we might see Cambiasso returning to partner Alonso; Van der Vaart could still play the creative midfield role, or he might go for a goalscoring mid like Hamsik - who he went for before. Buying Silva or returning for Sniejder are possibilities too.

In defence a left back is a must, though I doubt Cole is available, Tremoulinas from Bordeaux would be quality though maybe having both him and Ramos in the same side is risky defensively so Maicon might get brought in. They have Pepe who is a strong first choice CB and fulfills the Lucio role well and Garay who is young and improving but Albiol isn't quite good enough I don't think so another CB like Vidic might be on the cards.

......................... Casillas

Maicon ...... Pepe ............ Vidic ....... Tremoulinas

............ Cambiasso ... Alonso ... Van Der Vaart

Ronaldo ................ Higuain ................... Di Maria

That's not his ideal team and it still needs tweaking in a few positions but there are a lot of changes that need making in Madrid and I don't think it can all be accomplished in one summer, I think the team he's aiming for will look something like this:

............................. Casillas

Maicon ............ Pepe ......... Vidic ......... Cole

............. Alonso ... Cambiasso ... Hamsik

Ronaldo .............. Torres * ........... Ribery

* Or Torres equivalent because I doubt Torres will go to Real

He's the best player in the world. The lad can play on the left, right, up front...He can play any where in the attack.

Anyway....This could potentially be an awesome squad under Jose.

Lampard playing in that position is not realistic at all, neither is David Luiz starting for fucking Real Madrid.

The current players have just accumulated 96 points, I doubt he'll be making huge changes. There will most definately be a new CB or two coming in as this is the most vital position in a Mourinho side, Lass and Alonso will be just fine defensively but I wouldn't be surprised to see another box to box player arrive. Going forward I'll doubt he'll alter the way they play, Higuain will probably leave and that could see a new arrival, but on the whole things will stay the same but the players will have to be more team orientated.

I don't see any reason for them to sell Higuian at all.

The reason to sell him is because they don't want to offer him a new contract and they'll need to cash in on him soon before he goes for free. I doubt what Wrighty says is true.

Ffs, Madrid have more chance of winning the league with Gonzalo as their main frontman than with Van Persie.
