TBF, training isn't the best reason to justify Vela's lack of game time when it comes to Arsenal because Wenger is a fucking idiot. I remember Silvestre banging on about how Jack goes past people for fun in training, yet he never got a game.
Well I doubt Silvestre's opinion carrys much weight when it comes to the football side of things.

FA Cup final is the same day as the Copa Del Rey final. I hope I don't have to miss Arsenal.

Going past a couple of players for fun doesn't warrant selection if you make silly passes in your own half or try to dribble out of trouble in your own half. Training gives managers good insight into how ready players are to take on the responsibility of doing a job for the first team in a string of matches, and Wenger obviously feels that Vela can't be relied on yet when it really matters. To me he seems like he doesn't have the confidence to really pick himself up and impose himself when times are tough.

Owen Coyle has made similar comments. But the truth is Wenger doesn't have a clue on the training pitch, the Old Guard have been quoted as saying he just sits there and watches, never instructs players and never drills them in certain areas. Dixon called him a rich man's Harry Redknapp :hysterics:

Vela has never played well against a Premiership team. Ever
Wigan and Portsmouth. One was in the CC but they had a full strength side out and Pompy was the game at the end of last season.
A meaningless game.... great.

It does when you are playing players like Nasri, Walcott, Bendtner, and Eboue on the flanks. It AT LEAST warrants minutes off the bench, minutes Wilshere never got.

I love comments like that, ones when people don't actually stop to think what games they have played in. Vela is never given a chance in a game that matters so what else is he going to perform in genius?

I think it is clear that next season will have to be Wenger's last.

If he dont go I may well have to top myself.

He's been brought on towards the end of quite a few big games and made absolutely fuck all impact.

Look at it from Wenger's point of view for a moment, if Vela is not shining in training or in games when he comes on why would he risk him in a big game.

Most games i've seen him come on in the result is already clear which way its going. Plus when he starts he plays well thats all I care about, now from the START give him a few games he will come good.

Gooner, a genuine question. Have you pre-ordered the new Arsenal shirt with Vela on the back by any chance?

I got a question for you Arsenal supporters.

Let's say if RVP gets injured next season, would you be able to have trust in Chamakh with getting goals in?

Mr. LVG, this is Ed. Ed's the winner for our Key103 'Meet Van Gaal' competition.

Depends on whether the rest of the team drops dead aswell. If we have out strongest attackers still fit plus Cesc in the side, any half decent striker will get ample oppurtunity to score a decent amount. And Chamakh is more then half decent.

I'd have faith in Chamakh doing a better job than Bendtner or Arshavin would. Make of that what you will.
