I know its easy to panic when times are tough but without Cesc and without proper investment I just cant see how it will be anything other than another disapointing season. Normally I am an optimistic person who hopes for the best but the one thing I always process is honesty and I have to be honest here ladies and gentleman I fear for the future im especially worried about the teams just behind. Everybody and every Arsenal fan takes finishing in the top 3/4 for granted but we need to wake up and realise that behind us now we have genuine competition and as much as it pains me to say it Spurs are one of those teams. After matchday 37 the Yids were just 2 points behind and they are a side who look to be on the up while we look as if we are a side on the slide so I urge you not to get complacent finishing behind that mob would be far too much to bare. Man City will spend big yet again this summer and with each year they will be closer and closer to the top I respect City alot they are very ambitious im a person who thrives on ambitions and dreams so I knwo full well they have what it takes. I would love to be sitting here right now talking about how all these world class players will be joining Arsenal and how this is going to year and whatever but im sorry its hurting alot to know it will be a season where at best we will get close to glory but not close enough. At the worst it could be finishing outside the top 4 now I still have alot of faith we will but its not something I will take for granted the sad thing is the season has only just finished but already next season looks increasingly bleak. I honestly dont know where Arsenal go from here when you lose a player of Fabregas quality you dont just lose a player you lose so so much. You lose everything that comes along with the player also I believe it will have a physiological effect and mentally the players heads wont be right. How many leaders and winners do we have in the side? Van Persie Vermaelen and maybe Campbell..........thats about it to be honest its sad and quite frankly Arsene should take a long hard look at himself because my word he has bought in alot of donkeys. There are some players cough Gks too who would struggle to play for the likes of Wigan and in Fabianski's case Doncaster. Get your DVD's out lads because memories is all we have......... |

Arsenal will be fine, Cesc leaving could be a blessing in disguise as Wenger will be forced to invest in new players and rather than having one fantastic player in the middle you could be blessed with talent in every position. You don't need to worry about spurs, they'll finish midtable this season, at least 20 points behind City. Arsenal are safe, the top 4 is almost guaranteed imo, but the way Wenger spends this money could define whether you are fighting for titles or fighting for your pride again. |
