April 25th 10:54pm CET the full time whistle went some players were crying the fans were physically sick after going 24 matches unbeaten coming from 14th in October to 1st with just 4 matches remaining. The title finally looked as if it was going back to the Gillorossi but that defeat at home to Sampdoria basically killed the dreams. :tremble: :tremble: At 1-0 Roma were cruising Totti in particular missed so many gilt edged chances and it should have been at least 2/3 by HT but 10mins after the restart you were fearing the worst you knew it was all or nothing. The ref denied a couple of pen appeals and quite frankly he might as well been an Inter shirt then to compound the pain Pazzini scores an undeserved winner with just over 5mins left. All the Romanistas across the world were distraught it was a terrible feeling I fought back the tears it would have meant the world for me to see this club at the top of Italian football for only the 4th time in their history. After the game Ant sent me a text going mental it was all too much to bare our relationship has been strained since then :( With 3 matches left I didnt lose all hope especially when I found out that its head to head record which wins the scudetto so I just just 1 draw would help Roma win the title but looking at Internazionales fixtures I knew it was going to be tough. We needed a helping hand from Lazio and for the first 40mins I didnt think they did too badly but once Inter scored it was game over and quite frankly I have never seen a side show such little respect to the game we all love. The Lazio fans and players were arseholes the players just went through the motions they never even tried it was like watching Austria v Germany in the 1974 WC  FUCK OFF LAZIO your just a poor citizen of Rome. I wasn't expecting too much from Chievo at the San Siro but they gave it a good go and at 4-3 were just one goal away from changing everything but unfortuantely they never threatened after the 3rd goal. At one stage the title was already won until a late Totti comeback so it all went down to the final day a game everyone has been waiting anxiously all week. I said a few days ago that Siena will give their all and it wont be a walkover for Inter I also mentioned how the club has Roman diehards from the players to the President so I was never concerned about their attitude or commitment. I was just concerned about their lack of quality and how know to get a result especially as they have the worst defence and attack in Serie A. Every minute that went past felt like 10minutes my heart was beating I was extremely annoyed that Siena blew a great chance to score but as longs it was 0-0 I was very happy. Curci was sensational I was on my knees after every save I cant thank him enough he was almost single handly keeping Inter out one of the best one man shows you will ever see. When Vucinic and then soon after De Rossi scored I was bouncing but same time I knew Roma would do their jobs it was all about whether Siena could keep out Inter. At HT Siena did the business and Roma were champions the next 45minutes would be one of the biggest I have ever faced in my sporting life I was restless I did not know what to do with myself. As the 2nd half started Siena started to slow a bit more ambition and you knew just one goal would probably be enough to kill off Inter. However it has to be said that if Inter score then it would basically be game over it was so crucial with 52mins gone I wanted a penalty for a handball by Thiago Motta the ref bottled it he was never going to give anything to the home side. Ive seen this ref deny Bari 2 clear pens against Inter before so he was hardly going to give that it was all about running down the clock. Then then then the moment millions of people dreaded.....Inter score from Diego Milito even though it was the 56th minute I just knew that that was the game and the scudetto over :( :tremble: I didnt lose all hope but very nearly to be honest. Siena barely got out their own half after that it looked very bleak but while its just 0-1 you can hope and believe until the last second and I did just that. There were some moments when it almost happened like whenh Julio Cesar dropped the ball but no one was there to anticipate it and another when Rosi crossed it in and all it needed was a touch BUT NO ONE WAS THERE. As soon was 3minutes were added on you knew all hope was gone what with Inter keeping hold of possession as they always do so well when the whistle blew I sat there very glum it is very hard to take. To be honest I felt more sadness 3 weeks ago because like I said that was the moment the title was realistically lost but I am bitterly upset sad broken frustated and all the other negative feelings. However I am extremley proud of the players because at the start of the season my ambition was to see Roma make the top 4 but after the first 6-7 matches it was just to be the top 6 but slowly but surely the ambitions rised and the expectations grew and grew. Dont forget things were so bad that Spalletti got fired in October then Ranieri came in steadied the ship and changed the mentality of the players. When did I start believing in the scudetto? probably when Riise headed home the last minute winner against Juve at the end of January even though the gap was like 9 points it was the first moment you felt why not. However a month later Roma had 3 draws in a row which damaged momentum and the gap was like 11 points but Inter started to slip up a little. By April there was little in it and then the moment of truth arrived Roma v Inter at the Olympico a truely unbelievable atmosphere it felt like a final there was so many incidents in the game but the bottom line is Luca Toni fired the winner with 14mins left to send Roma top. After that it was in Romas hands and on matchday 34 they came from behind to beat arch rivals Lazio 1-2 in a insanely heated game on and off the pitch I felt so confident the Giallorossi was going to win the title. However I already explained what happened afterwards :tremble: :tremble: 1 game ruined everything ahhhhh to be honest it will haunt me for a very long time the worrying thing is that will Roma get to challenge again for the title in the next few years? I remember 3 years ago it went down to the last game of the season and Roma were champions with 25mins left but 2 late Ibrahimovic goals at Parma made Inter champions but this time it feels so much worse. Ant and co say they love Italian football but yet they would rather a side with just 1 Italian in their squad a side who are coached by a foreigner a side who were winning next to nothing before the calciopoli a side who before today had won 4 titles in a row. These scumbags what rather that happened over a romantic side like Roma who haven't won much since winning the scudetto since 2001 a side who have just 3 titles a side who have a Roman coach a side with Roman players like De Rossi and Totti a side who were 14th in October but were leaders with just 3 and a half matches left. "Sarcastically claps" well done you wankstains you've got what you wanted lets just keep having the same old routine everytime why go to sainsburys when you can go to tescos all the time lets be sad miserable fuckers all our lives. :grr:

I will stay online for 10mins just to read some of your comments but I wont be returning for a few days I dont care that much about La Liga title race because Barca and Real Madrid will always be the champions every season but today could have been so different. It would make me believe that football isnt predictable with the same sides always winning but maybe just maybe that belief has now been extinguished. Just want to say good luck to Bayern Munich maybe the better side can be the champions for once. :blood:

ROMA WILL BE BACK!!!! THE ROMAN SPIRIT IS NOT SOMETHING YOU CAN BUY INTER ITS SOMETHING THAT IS INSIDE YOU ITS SOMETHING YOU ARE BORN WITH. GO DIE!!!

Inter fully deserved to win the title this season and they are better than Roma unfortunately. I would have loved to see Totti win the Scudetto again but it wasn't to be.

I read every single word of that and it is quite possibly one of the greatest posts in the history of the internet. Absolutely unbelievable, what a poster, what an inspiration to all football fans when I got past the half way mark in that post I was reading the rest in awe. You are unreal Homer, what a man, what a fucking man.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Nice post Homer, really felt your emotions glaring through there. Ultimately I want Inter to get the treble, primarily because I like Mourinho and Sneijder, so I'm pretty pleased about today's results.

Roma are also a disgusting club whose fans deserve no success whatsoever for their actions over the past few years. There is literally nothing I hate more in football than hooliganism and the Ultras embody that terrible aspect of the game. In fact now that I come to think of it I'm delighted about how today has turned out in Serie A.

Every team has ultras mate.

Well done Inter though, best team in the league by a distance and did themselves justice today.

Winner.
