Dimitar Berbatov has emerged as a target for Milan, with Manchester United open to a £20 million offer for the Bulgaria striker. Berbatov, 29, has impressed in fits and starts for United but has not really turned up for the big games and is oft-criticised for his languid style. Milan want a replacement for the ageing Filippo Inzaghi, and an unnamed Rossoneri source told The Sun: "No contact has been made yet but we admire Berbatov. "He is a stong player who would do well in Italy. Whether something can be arranged remains to be seen. It has been difficult for Berbatov in Manchester, but he is a good player who has a lot to offer." If it was offered i'd take it without thinking twice. As said constantly Berbatov doesn't suit United. If he was sold it would all but guarantee that we would sign another striker. Preferably one we need this time. |

Would be a good deal for all parties IMO. Berbatov is a very good player, Italy would probably suit him better as he could play as a #10 there and form a good partnership with Pato. 20m might be a bit steep considering he hasn't been playing at his best for his time at Utd but 15m would be a compromise that would again, suit both parties. We could then go out and get another striker or the midfielder we crave. Whether it happens or not, i hope we see some improvements in our attack next season. Diouf and Macheda will hopefully improve as they should do. Berbatov if here can hopefully show us what he's all about and then we have this Hernandez fella who looks a decent enough finisher from what I see of his goals on YouTube, never seen him play a full matchg though so that could be very misleading! |

According to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport, AC Milan will only be tempted to sign Manchester United 's Dimitar Berbatov if Klaas Jan Huntelaar 's exit is part of the deal. Speculation has been rife in recent weeks that Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has lost faith in Berbatov and will sell him in the summer. Manchester United signed the Bulgarian striker from Spurs for 38 million euros at the start of the 2008/2009 campaign and Ferguson is reportedly ready to make a loss on the 29 year-old. The Sun has claimed that AC Milan could be persuaded to pay 22 million Euros for Berbatov. However, Corriere dello Sport believes that the Italian club would not be prepared to meet the asking price. They speculate that AC Milan would be interested in a deal to bring Berbatov to the San Siro were it to see Dutch striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar go in the other direction as part of the deal. Huntelaar has spent much of the 2009/2010 campaign on the bench and Corriere dello Sport suggested back in January that Manchester United manager Ferguson inquired as to the availability of the striker. The 26 year-old previously played for Real Madrid and Ajax and has scored 7 goals in 24 games so far this season. He has scored 13 goals in 28 international games for Holland. |

You'd be lucky to get 2m for him let alone 20. Doesn't really suit Milan, but he's a better option than KJH that's for sure. Milan should save their pennies and go for a real class striker such as Dzeko, Fabiano or even an optemistic bid for Torres. |

Berbatov would do well at Milan IMO, but it would take a different formation. |

I would have thought a fee of about 12M would be more realistic. |

Quote from the GOONBOT FA Cup final is the same day as the Copa Del Rey final. I hope I don't have to miss Arsenal. | |
