A question that's been asked so many times, but is still valid. After Fabianski's error signalled yet another dissapointing season, i really should've felt like pummelling him, as i have done with his previous cock-ups,but i just felt nothing but sympathy for the guy. Just put yourself in his position, thinking how distraught he must be to give away another goal in a vital moment. Think of the biggest error you've made in your life, remember how you felt afterwards, times that by a trillion and you'll be somewhat close to knowing what must be going through the poor sods mind at the minute

If you've got goalkeeping talent then you'd be stupid to go down another path because of the responsibility the position holds.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

I've always wondered why anybody would want to be a keeper myself, they are under immense pressure, but you have to be a lunatic to want to be throwing your head infront of boots like they do anyway. For professional footballers, they know what they've got themselves into, they know that they are in a highly intense, pressure filled job, but you're meant to take the good with the bad and realise that for every mistake you make, there will be 20 good things you do that make millions of people ecstatic. This is how I would handle the situation and I would fight back at my critics.

Good point made by Ant.I have to say though that neither Almunia or Fabianski combined have produced 20 good moments.Their errors are so costly and neither seems to learn from them or show any signs of significant improvement.I don't think either has the ability to make it to the very top and are liabilities.Neither has the mentality of a winner and will both be forced to consider thie future in the summer.I admire KOL's generosity of spirit but I feel no sympathy for our GK's.My costliest error has made me miserable but hasn't cost friends/family their happiness or made their efforts in vain not to mention the 300,000 disappointed fans like me.Fabianski still has the CC of 2007 on his mind,he almost cost us CL progression and cost us again today.I have never disliked any Gunner with a passion but Almunia and Fabianski I dislike with a passion.I want them both out on June 1st.
