Not being funny, but the position Guti found himself in was imo 'silver platter' worthy and anyone who considers themselves to be a professional footballer with even the slightest hint of attacking ability should be burying that. no questions asked.

Cull posting nothing but pure shit. Such was the vision and awareness of Guti he was very confident of presenting Benzema with a better chance than he had, get the fuck with it. There was hardly any risk involved as he knew exactly what he was doing.

As for Rolling, the pass was the only part of Madrid's counter that you could describe as brilliant...everything about United's yesterday was fantastic.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Nah, cunts like Denilson made the counter relatively easy for you. It was well executed but we could have done so much more to stop it, and that takes away from it to some degree.

Benzema could have been closed down, could have missed, could have fallen over ffs. Guti had a piss easy chance to score right then an there. If he had missed the pass you would say it was a terrible decision.

To be fair they're both pretty much the perfect example of a counter-attack. Both ended with a fantastic flourish - I reconsider actually, I cannot choose between them.

You know this lad is desperate when he mentions the possibility of falling over...Guti was just as likely to fall over when shooting so well done for making the most pointless, idiotic remark this forum's ever seen

If he had missed the pass I'd say it was a terrible decision? Not necessary, I'd say it was terrible execution. If he missed the shot I wouldn't say it was a terrible decision despite a better one being available, because you just don't expect to see someone pass in that situation, even though it was a better option if executed technically - and that part was relatively straight forward.

Benzema was never going to get closed down because the defenders were never in a million years going to pinpoint him as the dangerman. Guti knew it would come off, good footballers do.

Brilliant post, and that really should be the end of the discussion.

De Jong is a good footballer but put him in that situation on his left foot etc and I wouldn't be entirely confident of him scoring.

Touré would have buried it, I would have been immensely disappointed if he didn't put his foot through it and lash it into the top corner.

BOOM!

BOOM!

Fuck off Biscuits you little cunt.

Winner.

Not as good as Guti's, but this gem was also scored in La Liga this weekend.
