no, it wasn't entirely necessary but it was still beautiful and fantastic, world class goal.
Well he just turned a one on one chance into an open goal...
Scholes they went from back to front in fourteen seconds, utterly brilliant counter, capped off by a bit of individual flair and genius, of course it's a world class goal.
You've either misunderstood completely or you've resorted to a Rollingesque joke. Either way it's not good :hysterics:

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

OMG OMG OMG MANYOU IS TALKING COMPLETE AND UTTER SHIT. Oh my fucking God this kid has lost his marbles he really has.

I remember Rooney's back hell and it's nothing like it, he had to pass that. Guti had a fucking one on one with the keeper and 99 players out of 100 would not have made that pass I can assure you. Presence of mind, unselfishness, quality, footballing brain, leaving the keeper on the deck and giving Benzema a straight-forward finish. I wouldn't go as far as genius but it's a phenomenal piece of play and no one was expecting that, in contrast to Rooney's. Guti took everyone by surprise and deserves immense credit, that's what I like to see.
 And here we have someone who understands the game as well as I do.

I get you now, I thought you were questioning the goal's world class nature, you were simply stating that it was necessary

Poor from you tbh, ambiguous to say the least.

Winner.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Ant hasn't slagged off Rooney's assist, he's just said exactly what everyone else is surely thinking with regard to Guti's one.

When talking about awareness, it's just obvious that Guti displayed more. Benzema was practically 180 degrees behind him!
 Yep.

I deleted your post until the 'necessary' comment. A tiny bit of ambiguity should be no obstacle for a man of your intellect.

I would also claim that the RM counter is slightly better than the United one yesterday, but it is reasonably close.

An over the hill, left footed midfielder who has been restricted to the bench for years, on his weaker foot 1v1 in a position that you couldn't call brilliant, has just given a teammate an open goal instead of shooting himself and potentially missing. Get with it.

There was more chance of the finish not coming off.

It doesnt make a fucking difference. A player who wont shoot with his weak foot when hes in the box? Wtf. Its not even like he was in a shit position or under a load of pressure.
