This isn't entirely based on form.

Not entirely that's true but if a top player is off form he should drop down a few places given that there are over 10 absolute quality players in various positions that are on form. Ibrahimovic is without doubt one of the most talented though but some bad form would dent his overall rating as a player, but not exactly affecting his ability as a footballer.

It depends really on how you interpret the question of top 10 players, personally, I can't really overlook a players form over the current season.

Ibrahimovic was by far the best striker on the planet for the first few months of the season, which kind of cancels out poor form for the last month, and I don't see why you wouldn't include him in a list of this nature unless it was based on the past month's form.

I rate Ibra but not as highly as you and some others. I would've probably put him outside the top 5 (top 5 or 6 is barely even debatable), maybe 7th or so but like I said there are other players who are seriously good and on form so I decided to leave him out.

My main gripe was his inclusion ahead of Iniesta and Xavi, particularly the latter.

Winner.
