Robinho's joined Santos for 6 months. This could be a masterstroke, allowing the lad to up his confidence with increased game-time. It might also give him a chance to reassess his career and where he thinks it's going.

I hope he arrives at the conclusion that it's going down the pan in England, and that a move to Spain is a fucking necessity - the reasons for which I posted in my previous Robinho thread.

He'll certainly be at the WC, and he'll outshine the rest of the Brazil team as per usual...

They'll realise it wasn't luck when they go bankrupt trying to pay his wages.

Nah City will almost certainly subsidise it.

"The club can confirm that it has reached agreement with Santos for Robinho to join them on a six-month loan. The agreement takes immediate effect and ends on August 4.

"Santos will assume all of the player's contract terms, including wages and bonuses. Robinho will travel to Brazil on Sunday to begin his loan period."

Almost certainly.

There's no way Santos could afford £160,000 a week for 6 months. City will subsidise otherwise this deal wouldn't have been viable.

Good luck to Robinho.Hope he rediscovers his passion for the game. Not sure who is paying but I suspect City must be making some contribution or Robinho is doing a 6 month charity sabbatical.I don't know how he will fit in at City next season either especially if the management remains and he is happier back in Brazil.

It's on their official website mate, that why I said it would bankrupt them.

Just worked out that it's a total of around £5m over the course of 6 months, so yes I suppose that is possible.

I think Robinho is taking a huge paycut to join Santos, we'll pay nothing and I think Santos are giving him 60kpw and the rest he's just losing.

It's hardly peanuts, I swear money should be no consideration to a footballer, so it's pretty unsurprising that he's willing to take a pay cut to go to a place where he says he'll be happier...

Seriously lads, get some perspective! It might be a pay cut but it means fuck all to a millionaire of his disgusting wealth.
