Barca:

Their history is not just built on footballing romanticism but political identification, Barca have always been cast as the bastions of freedom and decency against the rampant cronyism and excesses of Real. That they see themselves as a symbol for Catalonia, rather than just a team, is something I admire greatly. I also identify strongly with the Leftist philosophy that runs through the club.

From a footballing perspective it's also much easier to identify with Barca, there is a clear agenda, a means of operation, that is inherent within the club; win and win well, with honour. Real have no such identity. They have the romantic history established in the 50s/60s but they don't have a single set way of operating that makes them quite so identifiable. Furthermore, Barca have, will continue you to have, and have had great players! Not the Real haven't!

But I have no idea how someone could hate a club as glamourous and prestigious as Madrid other than jealousy.
Well people have explained why lol: traits like arrogance, gluttonous spending, poor treatment of their own players, corruption...

Winner.

Barca. Better football, better players, great academy, not all about money.
Agree with this completely. These are pretty much facts aswell so that's why I can't understand why someone would even prefer Real Madrid.
