Pires is almost on par tbh. Depends what you want from a player.
I would have taken that seriously had you not picked him in the draft.

Pires was world class, underrated as well by most people today, and I'm a bigger fan of his than Wrighty, but he's not better than Ronaldinho, and there's no shame in it.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Success is winning championships. It is nothing less than that. And when you win a championship - and we will - success isn't measured or accomplished by winning once.

I don't think it's possible to want more or something different from a player than what Ronaldinho offered...

Wenger can call Jack Wilshere technically perfect but he isn't, and never will be. The only player ever to reach that status is Ronaldinho.

I haven't actually compared Ronaldinho to Messi or Baggio. But you're right, I do need to clean my mouth out, after puking at the mere thought of Pires being better than Ronaldinho.

Ronaldonho at his best > Messi, Baggio and Pires at their best (although we probably haven't seen Messi's best).

Ronaldinho 's best season was 2005/2006 where he scored 24 goals and made 17 assists. Messi's best season was last season where he scored 38 goals and made 16 assists. Its no fucking contest. Messi is going to better those goal scoring statistics this season too.

You're right, I've not taken into account how much more entertaining Messi is.

The teams they were playing in were world's apart though and to think that Ronaldinho would need to score 38 goals in a season to 'match' Messi's last season is lunacy. I hate it when you judge a player and his season based on goals and assists, such a simple, idiotic way of looking at things.

What should I be judging it on? Trophies? Overall skill? Messi has surpasses Ronaldinho on every level imaginable, bar the international stage.

Dont judge anything on trophies or Wes Brown is one of the greatest defenders ever

You didn't even know what a fucking assist was last month so how you've formed opinions on players without even knowing what you're basing it on defies belief. Goals and assists are important, but it is not the be all and end all of football, football is far deeper than those two stats and influence on a field is more than the final pass or the final shot into the net.
