You're right about Dudu, but Arshavin was more tha £15m

"The St Petersburg club will receive £16.5million - £15m for the transfer of the player and £1.5m compensation for breaking a long-term contract.

Fergie is up there, but I think a reason he's slightly below Moyes, Wenger (I'd like to put Steve Bruce and Harry Redknapp in the hat as well, though perhaps not above Fergie) is that the stalwarts of United for a long time actually came through the academy system, so he didn't have to buy them - Beckham, Scholes, Giggs, Neville, Butt.

He's made some cracking signings though - Cantona, Keane, Cole & Yorke, Van Nistelrooy, C. Ronaldo. Over the period of time we're talking about with Wenger and Fergie they will quite naturally have made some mistakes, but just look what's happened when they got it right :dribble: .

Moyes I think is the winner for me, as Rolling says, can't think of a bad signing he's made! Fergie and Wenger are legends in the transfer market however, and are probably have the best record out of every current manager in Europe.

Incredibly he's omitted Fergie, but as you'd expect he's left out Wenger, how can you justify that? :deepthought:

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

its asking which premier league manager achieved most in the transfer market.fergie has made some cracking signings (rooney, keane, schmeichel, cantona etc) but he has also bought numerous flops and hasnt really made a profit when the players are sold.wenger is the exact same, made great signings like henry, vieira, pires etc but has also made some shit signings like reyes, nasri, arshavin, eduardo, senderos etc.the only difference between the two is that wenger made a profit on most of the players he has sold.but wenger isnt there because he hasnt had any success in the past 5 years.

evertons signings under moyes:
richard wright from arsenal £3.5m
joseph yobo from marseille £3.5m
james mcfadden from motherwell £1.25m
nigel martyn from leeds
kevin kilbane from sunderland £750,000
marcus bent from ipswich £450,000
tim cahill from millwall £2m
james beattie from southampton £6m
simon davies from spurs £4m
per kroldrup from udinese £5m
phil neville from utd
nuno valente from porto £1.5m
andy van der mayde from inter
alan stubbs from sunderland
andy johnson from palace £8.6m
joleon lescott from wolves £5m
tim howard from utd
mikel arteta from sociedad
manuel fernandes from benfica
steven pienaar from dortmund £2.05m
leighton baines from wigan
stefan wessels from cologne free
yakubu from boro £11.25m
thomas graveson from celtic loan
dan gosling from plymouth £2m
anthony gardner from spurs loan
lars jacobsen
marouane fellaini from liege £15m
carlo nash from wigan
louis saha from utd
jo from city loan
sylvain distin from portsmouth
johnny heitinga from atletico £6m
diniyar bilyaletdinov

i've probably left out a few but barely any of them were flops.a lot were sold with a profit and rooney was sold for 30m
