If Trigglebeef isn't blinded in any way by bias I'm convinced he will agree with every word I've typed. What a sharp lad this guy is.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

keane on haaland was deliberabtly to hurt him
Is that not an intentional foul?
yes and intenional fouls ie deliberatly aiming to hurt someone is cheating

but going in hard on someone trying to win the ball and hurting them in the process eg the eduardo incedent isnt cheating

Elcule, if someone mistimes a tackle they are breaking the laws of the game are they not, and they are punished...have they cheated?

what as henrys cheating got to do with roy keane
Roy Keane was a far bigger cheat than Henry, yet the latter is hated for his cheating in Ireland.
millions of people around the world saw that hand ball and i can pretty much say that henry is hated in a lot of countries in nearly every continent

Please don't speak again if you think Henry is worse than this.
i dont ever remember saying that what henry did is worse than keanes tackles on haaland.henry cheated a nation out of the world cup.keane ended someones career.one is cheating the other isnt.

As for Woodbine, Thierry Henry was a better player and a better man than Roy Keane.

i dont ever remember saying he wasnt.i truly despise henry for what he did against us.i like keane but he has been a prick the last few years.
OMG WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?! HOW IS BREAKING SOMEONE'S LEG NOT CHEATING!?!?!?
Not exactly cheating is it...he disadvantaged his own team by getting sent off, it's pure evil though, that's what it is.
Of course it's cheating, he's breaking the laws of the game. If he hadn't been spotted it would have advantaged his team as they'd have had a first choice play substituted, just as if Henry hadn't spotted he'd have recieved a yellow and wasted a load of time...
It wasn't cheating because he knew full well he was about to be sent off. Keane didn't try cheating anyone.
For me intending to seek an advantage from it doesn't have much to do with it, cheating is just playing outside the laws of the game.
I'm flattered that you've been enjoying my fine posting spree lately, but I can confidently say you are wrong. Keane didn't cheat, cheating is only cheating when said player is trying to seek an unfair advantage.
Lol I don't care what you can confidently say or not, again, for me cheating has nothing to do with intention, it's just simply the breaking of rules. You can accidentally cheat. If you don't agree you don't agree, I won't think any worse of you.

Scholes you've been right for ages, if they can't see this, I wouldn't bother going on for much longer

Contravening the rules is not the same as cheating I'm afraid lad.

I tell you what annoys me more than people's incompetence in understanding the word 'cheat', it's the fact that it's so fucking irrelevant. So what if Keane did technically cheat? If you accidentally cheat (which isn't possible) then you cannot be scrutinised for doing so, only for the other crime you've committed (violence).

So basically, the whole debate was irrelevant.

I can't remember how that shit debate started but going back to page 4 you posted this...

''Of course it's cheating, he's breaking the laws of the game. If he hadn't been spotted it would have advantaged his team as they'd have had a first choice play substituted''

Why did you post that last sentence when you believe it doesn't matter? Rollingesque digging IMO.

It was a response to your post about seeking to gain an advantage, I was just pointing out that it would actually have given them an advantage had it not been spotted...

Cheating is an act of lying, deception, fraud, trickery, imposture, or imposition. Cheating characteristically is employed to create an unfair advantage, usually in one's own interest, and often at the expense of others,[1] Cheating implies the breaking of rules. The term "cheating" is less applicable to the breaking of laws, as illegal activities are referred to by specific legal terminology such as fraud or corruption. Cheating is a primordial economic act: getting more for less, often used when referring to marital infidelity. A person who is guilty of cheating is generally referred to as a cheat (British English), or a cheater (American English).

Why though?

It was always going to get spotted and it was always going to result in a red card, always...

And if you didn't believe that was relevant at the time then why didn't you say so? :deepthought:
